How to Play Elden Ring: Nightreign

Bandai Namco’s long-awaited spin-off to the universally acclaimed action role-playing game Elden Ring, aptly titled Elden Ring: Nightreign, is due to commence a network test this coming February. But, there’s a catch: Elden Ring: Nightreign will only be available to play for a select batch of registered users, meaning, if you haven’t signed up to the official Mailing List and submitted your details yet, then it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to bag a spot on the roster for the forthcoming play test.

To secure a place in the network test—a brief period in which its developers analyze its active players and their interactions with the in-game world and settings ahead of the game’s formal debut—you will first need to join the Mailing List, which you can do here. It is worth pointing out here that, in order to make it into the inner circle, you will also need to own either an Xbox Series X|S and/or a PlayStation 5.
As with any network test, there is one major drawback to the selection process: only a select few users will have the opportunity to participate. As a result of this, you will need to submit your details as soon as the registration period opens — January 10, 2025.
Thankfully, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC users will also have the chance to pick up a copy of Elden Ring: Nightreign — but only when it launches on its respective marketplaces. So, while PC users might have the opportunity to enjoy a network test a little later down the line, ex-gen players will need to hang tight for the official release.
