FBC: Firebreak — Everything We Know

Remedy Entertainment is pretty famous for producing mysterious and thrilling games with supernatural twists. Titles like Alan Wake, Max Payne, and Control have put Remedy in the line of reputation for rich storytelling and unforgettable atmospheres. FBC: Firebreak sees the studio return to the eerie world of Control. This time, they are coming at it in a completely different way: cooperative first-person shooter, flinging the player right into the midst of paranormal mayhem in the Federal Bureau of Control.
So, what is FBC: Firebreak? How will it connect to the world of Control? And what can players expect from the team-based gameplay? Remedy has given us a few hints, but there are still many questions. What strange creatures and paranormal threats will players face? How important is teamwork in surviving the bizarre crises within the Oldest House? Curious to learn more? Here’s everything we know so far about FBC: Firebreak.
What is FBC: Firebreak?

FBC: Firebreak is described by its developers as “a stand-alone experience set within a mysterious federal agency (which you might know from our earlier game, Control) where you work as a team of versatile first responders. ” So, set in the eerie world of the Federal Bureau of Control, FBC: Firebreak brings players back into the surreal and supernatural universe of Control. This time, players join forces into a team of specialized operatives, diving into intense missions to contain paranormal crises, unlike other shooters, however, Firebreak focuses upon teamwork. Each mission sees players acting quickly and, together, facing unknowns.
The Federal Bureau of Control is an unfathomable, ever-changing, full of weird anomalies and unknowns. It is built on a sense of building tension where the environment lives and breathes, or even better, seems deadlier than it actually can be. Firebreak does something new for this mad world: it allows an entire team to experience its insidious secrets. Stepping into the shoes of a first responder, players enter what may feel like high-wire situations that are, however, charged with an unknown mystery and danger that lingers.
Story

In FBC: Firebreak, return to the bizarre world of the Federal Bureau of Control or enter it for the first time. This time, you are part of a team of brave first responders who are sent into the chaotic, ever-changing halls of the Oldest House. Armed only with special gear and pure courage, you and your team face bizarre anomalies, paranormal threats, and unpredictable challenges. They have to save the Bureau by restoring order and have to work together on taking tough challenges in every mission.
Gameplay

In FBC: Firebreak, players would experience three-player cooperative first-person shooting within mysterious headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control. Each of the missions would drop them into chaotic zones of paranormal crisis where they would face strange anomalies and hostile creatures. For players, survival and containment would be quite a task while playing with their teammates because they are specialized first responders of the Bureau. Thus, quick thinking and teamwork will be key because each crisis zone is going to be different in its numerous challenges that could only be met together.
And before each task, players will choose their kits for the Crisis containing weaponry, tools, some grenades, and paranatured augments. So these kits allow loadout changes to fit playing styles or demands of the objective at hand. Some players want massive firepower, while some other players could bring loads full of supportive items used in aiding teammates. The customization options in mixing and loading various strategies allow players time to test the best plans to get through the actual task.
What makes FBC: Firebreak a new game unique is that it employs a Beyond Bullets approach. The player is going to access weird, paranormal tools and deal with enemies and challenges from a perspective nobody expects. An example used was the garden gnome ability to call in a thunderstorm. This means that it will encourage players to become creative, using a combination of ordinary and paranormal objects to deal with the unpredictable terrors of the Oldest House. Every mission has the promise of feeling new and unpredictable, and challenge the players to constantly adapt to the situation and work together if they want to stay alive.
