Elden Ring: Best Astrologer Armor

Published

 on

The first and most difficult choice you'll have to make in Elden Ring is the class and build you want to play with. That's because your playstyle for the duration of the game will be permanently defined by the class you initially select. Then, further modeled by how you build it. While it's popular to build classes that feature high Strength and Vigor, to handle the biggest swords and wear the thickest armor, you may find that you are quite constrained in the magical combat of the game. So, if you want to expand your playstyle and make the most of spells and incantations, you'll most likely end up choosing the Astrologer class. If that's the case, you'll want to know what the best armor for the Astrologer class is. Whether it's style or performance you're going for, this list features the best of both. So you can fearlessly and stylishly face the gods in the Lands Between.

5. Sage Set

Menacing in look and powerful in performance, the first, among the best armor for the Astrologer class, is the Sage set. This armor set is lighter than the Astrologer class's regular starting gear. Because the Astrologer class focuses on increasing your Mind and Intelligence, this will benefit you by having to put fewer points into your endurance stat. Rather than putting more levels into endurance so you can wear something you like, though it may not be the best. However, what's there not to like about the Sage Set?

Unfortunately, the Sage set is pretty weak for physical damage negation. However, if you're building the Astrologer class, you probably weren't planning on taking any physical damage in the first place. The good news, however, is that the Sage set has great resistance against magic, fire, and light damage. Evidently why you see a lot of Astrologer builds wear this in the PvP portion of Elden Ring.

4. Raya Lucarian Sorcer Set

Best Astrologer Armor

Since Astrologer builds focus heavily on upgrading your mind and intelligence attributes, you'll want an armor set that boosts these stats the most. That's why we specifically suggest the headpieces from the Raya Lucarian Sorcer set. There are four headpieces in this armor set, those are: Karolos Glintstone Crown, Twinsage Glinstone Crown, Lovinus Glinstone Crown, and Witch’s Glintstone Crown. All of these are viable options as headgear armor for Astrologer builds, however, the best of them all is the Twinsage Glinstone Crown (featured in the picture above).

That's because the Twinsage Glinstone Crown boosts your intelligence by six levels. Of course, this does not come without a cost, as it consequently reduces your stamina and HP by 6%. However, in our opinion, the trade-off is definitely worth it. Because those six levels can go a long way, especially in Elden Rings late-game when upgrading attributes cost mountains of ruins.

Nonetheless, the Twinsage Glinstone Crown is the best headpiece armor for the Astrologer class, hands down. And, because the helmet is all you need to get the intellect buff, that's all you need to wear. Then you can mix and match the remainder of your armor to achieve your desired aesthetic.

3. Snow Witch Set

Best Astrologer Armor

The Snow Witch outfit is not only one of the most visually appealing, but also one of the best armor sets for the Astrologer class in Elden Ring. Perfect for those Astrologer builds that want to maintain a mysterious look and main sorcery spells. That's because the Snow Witch set heavily boosts the damage of frost status effect sorceries. The headpiece alone grants a 10% boost to frost sorcery effect spells. So, you might have assumed that its relatively massive and overwhelming appearance compensated for potentially weak features, but this is not the case.

A further reason to go with the Snow Witch set in Elden Ring, is its elemental damage negation. It grants 25 damage negation against Magic, Holy, and Fire damage, as well as 24.7 for Lightning. For a light piece of armor, that is undoubtedly one of the best resistances you can get to magic abilities. Evidently why it's a go-to choice against bosses like Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.

2. Azur's Glintstone Set

Best Astrologer Armor

For players that want Astrologer armor that's as flashy as it is powerful, you can't go wrong with Azur's Glintstone set. Complete with Glintstones on the shoulders and head, Azur's set is definitely a fashion statement, though a little horrendous at the same time. Whether you like the design or not, Azur's Glintstone set makes a solid case for why it's one of the best armor sets for the Astrologer class. This is due to the fact that it boosts the damage of Azur's sorcery spells.

Azur's sorcery book contains three spells: Comet Azur, Comet, and Glintstone Cometshard. If you're familiar with Astrologer builds, you'll know that Comet Azur is one of the most powerful spells in Elden Ring. Now, add the damage buff from Azur's set and you'll be able to slash through massive amounts of HP in Boss fights with a direct hit. The other spells in Azurs' sorcery are also a trademark for the Astrologer class, with most magic players employing them. So, whether you like the appearance or not, you should consider Azur's Glintstone set for your next build. Because it is perhaps the best armor for the astrolgoer class in Elden Ring.

1. Lusat's Set

Best Astrologer Armor

Elden Ring has a knack for making the best armor sets, also the most outlandish. Which, can sometimes be great or terrible, depending if you enjoy how it makes your character look. If you're trying to scare enemies away before you can even engage in a fight, then Lusat's armor should do the trick. There's no question Lusat's armor set screams “Evil Astrologer”, but that's perfect if that's the look you're going for with your build. Aside from appearance, Lusat's set is a serious contender for the best Astrologer armor, if not the best.

This is because Lusat's armor set has the highest damage resistance of all the armor sets in this list, even more so than the Snow Witch Set. To add to that, it increases the attack power of sorceries. Those two stats are really all you're looking for in armor with an Astrologer build. Its only slight downfall is that it's not that light and can get cumbersome. But still, its pros definitely outweigh its cons.
