Avatar photo

In Don’t Kill Them All, you’re going to walk in the shoes of an Orc and be forced to go against your nature. Since Orcs only ever seem to lead a destructive life, Don’t Kill Them All asks that you learn to be mindful of nature and other creatures. Can you show restraint in the face of your enemies? Well, you may only have a couple of months to decide. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming game Don’t Kill Them All

What is Don’t Kill Them All?

Olive and the orc clan

Don’t Kill Them All is an upcoming base-building and turn-based strategy game. As the leader of an orc clan, it’ll be your job to lead your people to prosperity. However, in the pursuit of all things good, one thing remains, a show of restraint to the nature and enemies that come your way.

Story

Orc Clan and animals

In a world where violence and destruction have become second nature to Orcs, a new path beckons, one guided by compassion and self-discovery. As their self-proclaimed Life Coach, you step into the fray with a unique perspective, blending the wisdom of your Half-Orc heritage with the nurturing values instilled by your Elven upbringing.

The Orcs, driven by their primal instincts, have left a trail of devastation in their wake, their coffers barren despite the mounting pile of skulls. But amidst the chaos, you see potential, a chance to unearth the softer, gentler aspects of their nature that have long been buried beneath layers of aggression.

Your mission is clear: to lead the Orcs on a journey of transformation, to show them that there is more to life than mindless raiding and pillaging. From the tranquility of yoga sessions to the excitement of community events like magic shows, the possibilities for exploration are endless. Together, you will chart a new course, forging bonds of friendship and camaraderie as you traverse different biomes and build a thriving society.

As you guide your orc clan towards a brighter future, you’ll encounter challenges and obstacles along the way. But with determination and empathy as your guiding lights, you will prove that even the fiercest warriors can find peace and fulfillment in unexpected places.

Gameplay

Don’t Kill Them All will dabble its feet in multiple genres. On the one hand, it plans to infuse the building and management of a civilization. You’ll build camps for your orc clan from scratch and lead them to prosperity. Several gameplay features will intertwine to constitute strategic play. Firstly, you’ll explore different biomes for resources. Don’t Kill Them All emphasizes practicing restraint, which tips over into how mindful you are of the environment. You’ll ensure the happiness and sustenance of your orc community, finding ways to nurture a prosperous clan.

On the other hand, you’ll be faced with opposition. Not everyone will be happy with your new plans for a more mindful clan. Alternatively, you’ll raid other clans for the good of your people. This will be in the form of turn-based combat that throws you into the thick of battle. Despite the goal being to emerge successful, Don’t Kill Them All pushes you to practice mindfulness by protecting the innocent creatures caught in the middle and the resources you need to survive. Check out the key features to expect via Steam:

Key Features

  • Mindful Tactical Combat

Strategize and fight in turn-based and grid-based encounters to maximize resource collection while ensuring that your Orcs return home safely and motivated.

Restraint doesn’t come easily to an Orc. When you attack, you might end up damaging the very resources you’re out to gather or creatures you’re trying to protect. Orcs’ listening skills also aren’t the best—you can only make so many commands before you run out of energy, so choose your moves sparingly!

  • Base Building With a Lot of Heart

Pamper your Orcs by building structures, amenities, and decorations so they can discover new hobbies that will surely develop into useful passions!

Camp is where the Orc-heart is. It’s a space for your orcs to embrace their passions and nurture their wellbeing, be that through doing some yoga, baking, raising animals, or putting on a magic show. It’s also, of course, a place for a good old fight!

  • Plan Your Journey

To gather precious resources, take your Orcs out on daring raids! Choose your party to explore procedurally generated environments filled to the brim with strange creatures, glittering loot, and intriguing mysteries.

Those who stay will take pleasure in engaging in self-care activities, maintaining the mindful stability of your camp as a result.

  • Passion is Power

Get to know and bond with your Orcs, find out what makes them tick, and help them grow into the beautiful flowers they were always meant to be.

Your Orcs will express interest in different activities and hobbies. If acted on, these interests can develop into passions that offer unique ways to engage and interact with the world.
