Easter Eggs in Hello Neighbor 2

Time to hunt for Easter eggs, aye? It’s somewhat of a trend in the video gaming industry. That video game developers sheepishly plaster on easter eggs in sequels. They could be the most obvious thing that easily jumps off the screen. Or, they could be nicely put away. That only the keenest eye could spot them. And that’s where the fun begins. The hunt for Easter eggs as soon as a new game drops are quickly gaining speed.

For Hello Neighbor 2, it’s not much different. We know you’re probably still on the lookout for any more Easter eggs you can find. Once you find them, go on and post them online for your fellow compatriots who are still looking. And while we know you may want to spend more time with Hello Neighbor 2, we just couldn’t wait to share the Easter eggs we found on our end with you. So buckle up. In no moment now, you’ll be privy, too, to the five best easter eggs in Hello Neighbor 2.

5. The Vandals

HELLO VANDAL (Hello Guest) | Hello Neighbor Mod

It’s hard to forget the Vandals from Hello Guest, given that they make an appearance in Hello Neighbor 2 as well. However, their appearances are in the oddest forms, and they play less significant roles now. For instance, you can see one vandal trapped inside one of the two cable cars.

Another shows up as just a mask. The mask can be seen inside a rundown shack with police tape wrapped outside it. It gets even weirder when you start to see a pile of the Vandals’ shoes lying haphazardly all around the park. Perhaps the Vandals met their fate? Foul play was involved? Who knows?

4. Animated Pilot

So, a few years ago, there was supposed to be a Hello Neighbor TV show.  Although it was canceled, the pilot did make its way to Hello Neighbor 2. Of course, the pilot itself is quite long. So, the developers squeezed the footage into a few minutes worth of playtime. They also created a cartoon adaptation featuring a long opening set to music from the 1980s and a narrative aspect that doesn’t really enrich the game itself.

Toward the end of it, you see the words, “Premieres December 8; watch within Hello Neighbor 2,” which, however subtle, references the actual release date for the official game. It’s quite a literal Easter egg. Also, one that brings back a TV show we thought was done for. Clearly, the developers may have something in mind, or it could just be a mere moment of reminiscing.

So, where do you find this Easter egg? Well, you should see a TV set in the first house you’re asked to investigate. It should be on the first floor. Don’t worry about the TV alerting the guard or policeman to your presence. Both will likely write it off. You should find two channels. The first is the “animated pilot” Easter egg. The second is actually a clue to one of the first puzzles of the game.

3. Hidden Camera

If there’s one thing Hello Neighbor 2 has, it's tons of secrets to uncover. Sometimes, these secrets are best discovered with the power of a high-lens camera. So how do you get one? Well, when exploring the Golden Apple Park, or what’s left of it, you should come across a familiar-looking building from the Hello Guest Alpha. This is the same house players would climb to get to the final ending.

Once you spot it, stretch out your legs because you’ll need some strenuous platforming to climb it. Look for a pipe at the back of the building and scale nicely around it. Hold on. Some more platforms will pop up here. Once you get to the top, you should see a bird's nest that holds within it a hidden camera.

All your hard work pays off when you use the camera to scope out the area around you. The camera shows every fine detail you wouldn’t otherwise see. Plus, you can zoom in and out for a better view. One of the hidden secrets you’ll find is a mobile phone. So, go on, let’s go get that phone.

2. Phone

Climb up the side of the building, holding the phone. You should see it nicely tucked away in a sink up on the roof. Once you have it, head back down to the neighbor's house to prank call the phone found outside their house. When you prank call them, move back and wait for them to run outside to receive the phone. This gives you the chance to sneak inside their house and grab the key.

Although the phone has a limited range, it does come in handy in high-stress situations. You can prank call your neighbor as many times as you’d like. Try to assess how much time you’ll need to sneak in. Or, just as a way to distract your neighbor whenever you want.

1. Beatrix and Quentin’s Profiles

Easter Eggs in Hello Neighbor 2

In the neighbor's house, on the ground floor, if you turn to the right after entering the house, you should see two clipboards. Each one has a profile of the two protagonists from Hello, Guest. Their two names are Beatrix and Quentin.

You may actually remember them as nightguards at the Golden Apple Park from several years ago. Their encounter with the detective was quite memorable, and now it seems the place has fallen apart after the vandals' carnage.

It’s clear the neighbor has been keeping tabs on these two, given they were nose-deep in investigating his/her disappearance. This somewhat brings us back to the mysterious detective. Did you perhaps spot that mysterious detective lurking in the shadows? Perhaps he was hired by the neighbor too to investigate and keep tabs on Beatrix and Quentin?
