Quantic Dream has replied to reports about the release date of Star Wars Eclipse. The company is reacting to recent claims that the studio is having difficulty attracting talent and that the game has been delayed internally. Fans expected the company to release Star Wars Eclipse  in 2024. However,  a rumor later stated that the game may have been postponed internally until 2027.

A Quantic Dream representative denied claims of a Star Wars: Eclipse delay. Speaking to GamesRadar, the representative claimed that the company has never set a release date.

Star Wars Eclipse has not been delayed because Quantic Dream never announced or promised a launch window for the title,” the spokesperson said.

The representative also stated that the company had boosted its employees by 50%, putting to rest concerns that the company was having difficulty hiring.

“Recruiting remains active as it works on Star Wars Eclipse, third-party publishing, and unannounced projects,” the spokesperson continued.

At the moment, it’s unknown when the company will release the game. Quantic Dream announced SW Eclipse, a multi-protagonist narrative set in the High Republic era, by the end of 2021. The game premiered at The Game Awards 2021 with a gorgeous teaser. Quantic Dream noted that the game was still in early production at the time.

However, the correspondence received from the studio appears to be in response to a recent report from om Henderson of Xfire. He claimed that the company had pushed the initial release date forward  to 2027 due to unforeseen hiring issues.

Quantic Dream is renowned for narrative-driven games like Heavy Rain from 2010, Beyond: Two Souls from 2013, and Detroit: Become Human from 2018.
