Light & Wonder Wins Table Games Technology Deal Across Seven Delaware North Casino Properties

Light & Wonder has been selected to replace the existing table games technology across seven casino and gaming properties operated by Delaware North in the United States, the Las Vegas-based supplier announced on August 13, 2026.

The multi-property agreement covers the replacement of current table games systems and equipment with Light & Wonder’s portfolio, including progressive table games, card shufflers, and table management technologies. Delaware North will also deploy the supplier’s VALT table management system across participating locations, giving the operator operational visibility, performance analytics, and data-driven decision-making tools across its pits.

The properties covered by the agreement are Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack and Mardi Gras Casino & Resort in West Virginia, Gate City Casino in New Hampshire, Southland Casino Hotel in Arkansas, Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club and Orange City Racing & Card Club in Florida, and Catawba Two Kings Casino in North Carolina, a property where Delaware North serves as the gaming and hospitality consultant and developer rather than the owner.

“This selection underscores Delaware North’s decision to standardize its table games technology across multiple properties,” said Jon Hanlin, Senior Vice President, Table Games at Light & Wonder, in the company’s announcement. “By replacing existing solutions with Light & Wonder’s integrated table games portfolio, we’re delivering a consistent, scalable platform that supports operational efficiency, floor performance, and long-term flexibility.”

Jeffrey Taips, Chief Operating Officer for Delaware North’s gaming business, said the technology supports the operator’s objectives across a diverse portfolio and provides “a consistent, scalable approach to managing table operations.”

The Deal Lands Six Weeks After Delaware North Rebranded Its Gaming Arm

The announcement is the first major supplier agreement Delaware North has disclosed since it unified its casinos, digital gaming, and loyalty program under the Ember Entertainment brand on July 1, 2026. That rebrand folded the company’s brick-and-mortar casinos, its Betly online casino and sportsbook brands, and the Lucky North Rewards loyalty program into a single ecosystem, with brick-and-mortar properties keeping their individual names but operating as Ember Entertainment properties.

Standardizing table games systems across five states fits that consolidation. An operator running one rewards program, one online casino brand, and one management identity has a clear operational incentive to run one table games platform too, and the replacement structure of this deal, swapping out incumbent systems rather than adding to them, points to exactly that.

Delaware North’s gaming footprint spans New York, New Hampshire, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, West Virginia, and Ohio, plus Australia, according to its Ember Entertainment business page. Not every property is covered by this agreement. Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack and Hamburg Gaming in New York, both slot-and-video-machine venues without the live table pits this deal targets, are absent from the property list.

The North Carolina property is the notable inclusion. Catawba Two Kings Casino is the Catawba Nation’s casino project in Kings Mountain, where Delaware North works as lead consultant and developer on what the tribe has planned as a casino resort valued at more than $1 billion. Bringing that property onto the same table games platform as the company-owned casinos extends the agreement beyond Delaware North’s own balance sheet.

What the VALT System Brings to the Pit

Beyond the games themselves, the operational core of the deployment is VALT, Light & Wonder’s table management system. The release describes its function as supporting enhanced operational visibility, performance analytics, and data-driven decision-making, which in practical terms means electronic tracking of table performance, player ratings, and pit activity in place of manual processes. Light & Wonder’s broader table games catalog covers proprietary table games, progressive side bets, shufflers and utility equipment, and electronic table systems.

For a multi-state operator, that kind of system is where the value of standardization sits: comparable performance data from a West Virginia racetrack casino and an Arkansas super-regional property, reported on the same platform.

Light & Wonder Extends a Run of Table Games Wins

The Delaware North selection continues a stretch of momentum in Light & Wonder’s table games business. In December 2024, Norwegian Cruise Line selected the company to bring its Operator Wide Area Progressive table games network to all 18 ships in its fleet, a deployment of 200 GM ATLAS systems linking blackjack and poker derivative progressives across vessels.

The company’s financial position has been moving the same direction. Light & Wonder lifted net income 26% in its most recent quarterly report, with buybacks reaching $2.1 billion. Table games sit inside its gaming division alongside slots and casino management systems, competing for floor space against rivals such as Galaxy Gaming, which posted record recurring revenue in August 2026 in its first standalone quarter after Evolution terminated their merger agreement.

Replacement deals of this kind matter in that contest because table games technology tends to be sticky: once an operator standardizes shufflers, progressives, and management software on one supplier’s platform across seven properties, displacing it means another capital cycle. The release sets no deployment timetable, financial terms, or contract length, saying only that the replacement covers the participating locations.
