Infinity Ward has formally presented Modern Warfare 2 to the public in a worldwide, which is very uncommon. Infinity Ward outlined the campaign and multiplayer features available when the game debuts in the trailer.

Following the success of Modern Warfare in 2019, Activision and Infinity Ward are releasing the second installment in their reboot of the Modern Warfare trilogy, dubbed Modern Warfare II.

The newest installation into the franchise is the same as the extremely popular MW2 from 2009.

Infinity Ward published the trailer and details about the impending Modern Warfare sequel on the official Call of Duty YouTube account. The Modern Warfare II reveal trailer showcased what the CoD community may anticipate from the upcoming game.

The plot will feature Task Force 141 as it strives to stop a hostile threat to the United States. Characters from the previous game, including Price, Soap, Gaz, and Ghost, will also feature. Modern Warfare 2 will have Call of Duty's signature multiplayer, along with several maps and modes.

To usher in the new age of Call of Duty, several major improvements are coming to Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer. The reveal confirmed five new Modern Warfare II maps: Sa'id, Sariff, Bay, Museum, Grand Prix, and Farm 18 Training Facility.

Grand Prix takes a lot of inspiration from the  F1 Grand Prix circuit.

Infinity Ward will also release a sequel to the Call of Duty battle royale Warzone later this year. The release will, however, happen after the release of Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Release Date

The developers also confirmed that Modern Warfare II would return to Steam. The COD franchise left the platform five years ago, and the PC version was only available on the Battle.net store.
