5 Best Pieces of Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077

Updated on

Customizing your character and their life path is one of the best features of Cyberpunk 2077's role-playing elements. Right from the get-go, you have to decide which life path to take, which in turn, directly affects how your story starts and plays out. However, regardless of what path you choose, you'll inevitably come across cyberware, the in-game body enhancement system. Now, there is a lot of choices for how to cyber-fy your body. That's why we've put together this list of the best pieces of cyberware to deck your character with, in Cyberpunk 2077.

Because not only are there a lot of choices for cyberware, but they will directly affect your playstyle too. That is, how you decide to tear up enemy scavengers, bandits and/or corpos – unless you are one of them. All the same, cyberware makes fighting in Cyberpunk 2077 a thrill ride of an experience. So, without any further haste, Let's jump into the best pieces of cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077, to learn what they do, how to get them, and why you might want them.

5. Reinforced Tendons

Reinforced Tendons can provide you with that extra pep in your step when you need it. Arguably one of the best cyberware for your legs in Cyberpunk 2077, Reinforced Tendons allow you to double jump. This not only helps you easily get to hard-to-reach areas, but it also makes you more agile and difficult to hit in combat. So, if you're a player who enjoys movement, Reinforced Tendons is a good option for leg cyberware.

They can also be a lifesaver, literally. With the double jump ability, if you fall off a building or high place, you can activate the jump mid-air to not take any fall damage. And, let's face it, this happens to all of us more often than we'd like to admit. Nonetheless, the double jump ability with reinforced tendons is an excellent piece of cyberware, particularly if you want to be creative in combat and movement. If you want that added to your gameplay, you can find Reinforced Tendons from the Ripperdoc in Little China, where Watson has one for sale.

4. Second Heart

Second Heart is without a doubt one of the best pieces of cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077. This cyberware does exactly what the name implies: it gives you a second life. If you're nearing the end of an intense fight and happen to die, with Second Heart, you can resurrect yourself to full health. Essentially granting you a second chance in battle. It does have a 2-minute cooldown, so you'll probably only use it once per fight if necessary.

But here's the kicker. Installing Second Heart and Biomoniter effectively gives you three lives. That's because Biomoniter restores your health to 100% when it drops below 15%, also on a two-minute cooldown. So combine these two pieces of cyberware, and you'll be entering every fight with three lives. That should be more than enough to get you through even the most difficult battles. You can find Second Heart at the Ripperdoc in Wellsprings, where Heywood has one for sale.

3. Projectile Launch System

Best Cyberware

Okay, we've arrived at the top three best pieces of cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077, and things are about to get exciting for arm tech. Starting with the Projectile Launch System, this piece of cyberware equips your arms with a built-in rocket launcher. How about that for a trick up your sleeve? Seriously, this tech will almost always give you the upper hand in a fight, and it is especially useful for chunking down a boss fight. It should go without saying, but the Projectile Launch System is pretty overpowered.

And I haven't even gotten to the best part yet. Because the rockets are homing, they lock onto targets, ensuring that you always hit your shots. This can get you into trouble when civilians are around, so make sure you only pull them out when you're outnumbered. Nonetheless, they are a beast piece of cyberware. The Projectile Launch System can be obtained from the Ripperdoc in Wellsprings, where Heywood has one for sale.

2. Gorilla Arms

Best Cyberware

If you're not one for guns and prefer your fist for combat, then you'll want Gorilla Arms. You'll be one-punching enemies into the next world with this piece of cyberware. Not only do Gorilla Arms increase your melee damage, but they also charge with each attack. Then, when you perform a strong attack, they deal bonus damage. Furthermore, if you hit someone hard enough, you can cause internal bleeding as well as deal electrical and thermal Damage.

Then you just have to consider their other uses. You can use them to easily destroy enemy turrets, hijack cars, or to break through doors. All the same, Gorilla Arms, are the best cyberware for brawling in the streets. Now combine this with Reinforced Tendons for the double jump, and your a threat no one in Night City will want to overstep. If you want Gorilla Arms, most Ripperdocs in Watson have them for sale, so it should be pretty easy to get your hands on them.

1. Arasaka Mantis Blades

Best Cyberware

Arasaka Mantis Blades is our top pick for the best cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077. And yes, they are, in fact, as cool as they sound. Mantis Blades grant you the ability to have two swords installed in your forearms, allowing you to continuously slice and dice enemies. They also have a leap ability that allows you to lunge at a target, dealing high damage. Then you can slice them up indefinitely because the combo for the Mantis Blades slash doesn't expire until your stamina runs out. That means you can cut up enemies into a thousand little cubes before getting tired.

Aside from that, you can use Mantis Blades to block, which comes in quite handy against guns. But just due to there pure nature, style, and deadly force, the Mantis Blades are really unmatched by any other piece of cyberware in the game. If you want Mantis Blades, you can find them from the Ripperdoc in Wellsprings, Japantown, and Rancho Coronado.
