Xbox Game Pass, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, to be more specific, has just uploaded one of the biggest Xbox 360 games ever made. And we’re not talking about Elder Scrolls, or Gears of War, or anything like that. We’re talking Skate. That’s right, EA’s beloved skateboarding debut, which will now run alongside Skate 3, has been bolted onto the roster.
The downside to this upload, however, is that the game will only be available through EA Play. That basically means you’ll have to own a subscription to that or, otherwise, a Game Pass Ultimate account. And on top of that, as per the usual routine, the game won’t be on the roster forever. In fact, going by previous uploads, this could simply be a temporary fixture, with other titles looking to trade places in a matter of months. And so, for that reason alone, we suggest you feast your eyes on one of Xbox 360s most cherished skate chapters before it’s too late.
Skate is back — finally!
Skate shot to fame shortly after its 2007 debut on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with many players praising it for its realistic approach to the sport. Following on from the global success of the first chapter, EA crafted two further instalments, with Skate 3 eventually being branded as one of the greatest skateboarding games ever created. And now, looking forward, EA will finally deliver the fourth chapter, which will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in the next year or two.
So, what are you waiting for? You can download both Skate and Skate 3 right now from the Game Pass library. And if that isn’t your scene, then you could always dip into the likes of SSX and Steep, both of which are available through the Xbox and EA Play plans.
