Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition Price and Release Date Leak
The 25th-anniversary Xbox is lining up as the most expensive console Xbox has ever sold. The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition will cost €899.99 in Europe and launch on November 27, 2026, according to an exclusive report from Dealabs published August 21, 2026 by billbil-kun, the hardware leaker whose retail-source track record on console pricing runs back several years. Dealabs estimates the US price at $899.99, though only the European figure comes from its data.
That date is Black Friday 2026, which places a premium collector’s box on shelves on the single biggest discount day of the retail year. It also puts the anniversary console €100 above the standard Xbox Series X, which has sold for €799.99 since Xbox’s worldwide price increase took effect August 1, 2026.
The matching Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition is further along. Dealabs reported in a separate exclusive on August 19, 2026 that the controller launches October 20, 2026 at $79.99, €79.99, £74.99, and CA$99.99, with preorders opening August 26, 2026 during gamescom. The console’s preorder date has not leaked.
What €900 Buys in the X25 Collection
Xbox revealed the 25th-anniversary collection during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026, without pricing or dates. The console is a 1TB Series X with a disc drive, wrapped in a translucent “OG Green” shell that shows the components inside, the first translucent design on Series X. The power button’s X lights up green, echoing the original Xbox boot sequence, and the 25th-anniversary logo sits on the front. The bundle includes the X25 controller, whose transparent back case reveals the classic Xbox logo and whose bumpers reference the black and white buttons of the original 2001 “Duke” controller.
“The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition respects our history, with the power and performance of the Xbox Series X, including 1 TB of storage, and a design that reflects where we’ve been and the community that’s been with us along the way,” Jason Ronald, Xbox’s VP of next generation, wrote in the announcement.
The Anniversary Console Arrives After a Hardware Reset
The X25’s reported price lands on top of an Xbox hardware lineup that has been repriced twice in under a year. Xbox raised US console prices by $20 to $70 in October 2025, then announced on June 25, 2026 that worldwide prices would rise again effective August 1, 2026: $100 on 512GB models and $150 on 1TB models, with the 2TB Series X discontinued. The company attributed the move to a components crisis, saying console storage and memory prices had increased more than 2.5x and were expected to double again by the fall of 2027.
That increase took the standard 1TB Series X with a disc drive from €649.99 to €799.99 in Europe, the baseline the X25’s reported €899.99 builds on. Dealabs also notes the figure matches the €899.99 price of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which ships without a disc drive.
Anniversary hardware has carried a premium before at a smaller scale. Dealabs points to PlayStation’s 30th-anniversary PS5 Digital Edition, which launched at €50 above the standard disc-free model; the X25’s reported gap over the standard Series X is €100, a difference that covers the disc drive and the bundled X25 controller.

The X25 controller’s preorders open August 26, 2026, the first day of gamescom in Cologne, where Xbox has scheduled broadcasts on August 26 and 27. The controller itself releases October 20, 2026, and the console follows on November 27, 2026. Xbox said at the June reveal that the console and controller will be sold together as a limited-edition collection in select markets, with the controller also available separately, and that it would share pricing and preorder details at select retailers. Microsoft has not confirmed the leaked figures, and the console’s preorder date remains the outstanding detail.
