The Apple Vision Pro Headset Launch Date Announced

Apple has announced the U.S. launch date for its mixed-reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro. The device is set to redefine consumer spatial computing as it will enable users to seamlessly switch between augmented and virtual reality experiences with a single dial.

According to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, “Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created.” 

“Its revolutionary and magical user interface will redefine how we connect, create, and explore,” Cook said in a press release announcing the launch date. 

The Apple Vision Pro will be available in all U.S. Apple Store locations and online starting February 2. Preorders open on January 19 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time. 

Vision Pro features a 3D user interface and input system that users can control with their eyes, hands, and voice. Users can also easily interact with apps by tapping, flicking, or using virtual keyboards. In addition, the device has Siri integration and allows swift control of various functions, from opening apps to playing media. The three-dimensional interface enables users to display apps side by side at any scale.

The Apple Vision Pro is compatible with over one million iOS and iPadOS apps, providing users with a versatile and familiar ecosystem. 

Gaming enthusiasts can enjoy popular titles like NBA 2K24 Arcade Edition and Sonic Dream Team. Users will enjoy these games on a customizable, expansive screen with immersive audio and support for popular game controllers. Other new spatial games include Game Room, What the Golf?, and Super Fruit Ninja. These games leverage Vision Pro’s capabilities for unique and engaging gameplay experiences.

Vision Pro Price 

The base model of the Vision Pro will cost $3,499, come with 256GB of storage and include accessories like the Solo Knit Band, Dual Loop Band, light seal, Apple Vision Pro cover, polishing cloth, battery, USB-C charging cable, and USB-C power adapter.
