Play Outriders for Free on Steam, Limited Time Offer

Outriders, a third-person sci-fi shooter, is free on Steam this week. The opportunity to play the game free on Steam will give players a chance to discover what they’ve been missing.

The excursion into the looter-shooter genre will allow gamers to enjoy the complete edition of the game. Outriders has always had a free demo available. However, this free-to-play event lets players progress as far as possible during the limited time frame.

Outriders is completely free to play on Steam until June 23 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. If you’ve already started playing the Outriders demo, you can pick up where you left off during this freebie. It is important to note that the free demo is still available. In addition, if the free-to-play limited offer persuades you, the game is also on sale on Steam for $22, down from $40 until June 23.

Outriders’ free-to-play offer comes ahead of the game’s first major expansion, Worldslayer. In the upcoming update, players can expect new features, environments, enemies, weapons, and gear to be added to the game. The expansion will feature new Legendary Armor sets and a new PAX tree structure. This tree structure will use PAX points to activate nodes from two independent branches. Players can now create hybrid builds or specialize their characters further.

The game was released by Square Enix  in April 2021 in collaboration with Polish developer People Can Fly. Loot and crafting are key components in this game, which is a looter-shooter similar to games like Destiny and Borderlands. Players can choose from four different classes, each with unique skills and abilities. Despite the numerous bugs and questionable design choices, the game received a mixed reception, with players praising the gunplay and rewards.

Outriders Release Dates

Worldslayer will launch on June 30 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
