Naughty Dog could be gearing up to announce a new Crash Bandicoot game this coming December. Specifically, at The Game Awards 2022, which is scheduled to go live on December 8th.

After what felt like an eternity on the back burner, Crash Bandicoot finally made his well-deserved return to consoles a year or so back. Since then, though, it seems the beloved bandicoot has gone AWOL. Or at least, that's what Naughty Dog has wanted us to believe. Turns out, though, that a new game could be in the works, and it could be coming a lot sooner than we dare to anticipate.

As it goes, a number of prominent content creators have received a special message from the guys over at Naughty Dog. The message in question tells “hungry” fans of the saga to try a new “Wumpa Puzzle Sliice for $12.08,” which just so happens to coincide with The Game Awards' date of December 8th. Now, this could be nothing, and it might be worth taking it with a grain of salt. That said, it's also looking like Crash Bandicoot is gearing up for a fresh journey, too.

Is It Crash Bandicoot 5, Though?

Whatever it is, we won't have to wait all that long to find out. With The Game Awards going live on December 8th, it means we only have a couple of months to wait. Will it be Crash Bandicoot 5, or just another crossover that happens to involve the rebellious hero? Only time will tell on that one.

You can follow the official social handle for any new updates here. We'll be sure to let you know if anything goes down before The Game Awards.
