BETBY Debuts SlotBets Category With Live Basketball Format

B2B sportsbook supplier BETBY launched SlotBets on September 8, 2026, a product that converts live sporting action into slot-style gameplay built around 15-second betting rounds. The company describes the release as a new iGaming content category, SlotBets Games, and calls the underlying form of play “slotbetting.”
BETBY’s announcement presents the launch as the first product of its kind on the market. SlotBets is built around 15-second betting rounds tied directly to the action unfolding in a live sports event. The format combines the immediacy of sports betting with casino mechanics such as reels, winning combinations and multipliers.
The company said the product replaces the random-number-generator mechanics of casino games with real-world events. According to BETBY, the match itself acts as the engine of the game rather than serving as decoration around a casino mechanic.
How SlotBasketball Works
Basketball was selected as the first real-sports application of the product. BETBY said the sport’s naturally high tempo and constant flow of meaningful events made it the initial test format.
In SlotBasketball, each 15-second round is divided into three five-second windows corresponding to three reels. Each reel records the highest-value event that occurs during its window, including outcomes such as a three-pointer, a two-pointer, a missed shot, a foul, or a period in which no action takes place.
Once the 15 seconds are complete, the three reels form a combination. Matching outcomes produce payouts according to the game’s paytable, while multipliers and additional mechanics further shape the result.
Stoppages also feed into the format. A feature called Pause Bonus allows eligible stoppage time to contribute towards an additional payout multiplier.
Cross-Vertical Design
BETBY said the product was developed to address a long-standing industry challenge: encouraging natural movement between sportsbook and casino audiences. Casino-first players can interact with sports through familiar mechanics such as reels, combinations and rapid outcomes, without needing to understand traditional sportsbook markets. Existing sportsbook players gain a faster and more continuous way to engage with the event directly within the match tracker.
Kirill Nekrasov, Head of Innovation and R&D at BETBY, said the product began with a simple question about accessibility.
“SlotBets started with a very simple question: why should a casino player need to become a sportsbook expert before they can enjoy betting on sport? We wanted to create something immediately understandable, but still genuinely powered by the live event. Every basket, miss, foul, stoppage or quiet interval can influence the game, so the match is continuously building the SlotBet in real time. We are introducing a new way to play sports, and we call it slotbetting.”
The BETBY SlotBets product page states that the format offers multipliers ranging from 20x to 1,000x within the 15-second rounds. The page describes the product as the first match tracker that monetizes screen space, converting an area BETBY characterizes as passive viewing into an active betting engine.
Integration and Esports Plans
BETBY said the product can be integrated through a lightweight iFrame and positioned within an operator’s sportsbook, casino, or both. The company said the familiar slot-style interface also gives SlotBets potential for retail casino integration.
The product page states that more than 500 clients are already on board, and that BETBY develops games on client request and can create any league, team or participant from available competitions. BETBY also said it sees potential for SlotBets to occupy areas of the sportsbook interface commonly filled by passive match trackers.
Beyond basketball, BETBY is developing SlotBets for 24/7 esports content. Titles including eSlotSoccer, eSlotCricket, eSlotHockey and eSlotPingPong are expected to broaden the offering and help operators maintain engagement during quieter periods in the traditional sports calendar.
BETBY will officially showcase SlotBets and the wider SlotBets Games category at SBC Summit Lisbon, where attendees will be able to experience the product at the company’s stand.
