Aron Beierschmitt, CEO and Co-Founder of Laguna Games — Interview Series

Say, if you’re not doing anything this weekend, then you might want to consider pouring a few hours into the unicorn-centric Fall Guys-like web3 game, Rainbow Rumble. As it turns out, Laguna Games’ latest chapter in the Crypto Unicorns ecosystem has quite the collection of in-game perks and loot boxes to get ahold of—$XAI tokens included, thankfully.

To learn a bit more about Rainbow Rumble, we caught up with Laguna Games CEO and co-founder, Aron Beierschmitt.

Thanks for taking the time to speak with us! Let’s talk about Rainbow Rumble. Could you tell us a bit about what it is and how it works?

Aron: Rainbow Rumble is an obstacle course game, where players race to the finish with Unicorns. Players have the ability to push each other, opening for all sorts of competitive shenanigans. When players get knocked off the map, they respawn at the last checkpoint.

Think Fall Guys meets Mario Kart meets Wipeout.

Rainbow Rumble also offers a wealth of loot boxes, NFTs, and other in-game rewards, too. What sorts of items and perks can players expect to unearth this forthcoming season?

Aron: Rainbow Rumble is an arena-style game that is connected to the broader Crypto Unicorns ecosystem. Players can expect to win plenty of $XAI tokens and bundles of in-game items that will help players accelerate their progress in the core land game.

Are you able to share any useful tips on how to grasp a foothold on the world of Rainbow Rumble? Do you have any words of advice for those who are looking to climb the leaderboard and maximize their returns?

Aron: Practice makes perfect! There are a variety of different tracks that might seem easy if you were playing alone; however, the track is always filled with other players that will get in the way. Players will find that certain maps have different choke points, where Unicorns can often get stuck. Choosing when to use power-ups, like the speed boost, can be crucial to jump ahead of other players early!

Players with NFT Unicorns will be able to participate in weekly qualifiers for our Rainbow Rumble Championship Series that culminates in one, final tournament with 50,000 $XAI on the line!

Could you tell us more about what it is that you’re aiming to achieve with Rainbow Rumble? Are there any goals that you’re working towards?

Aron: Rainbow Rumble is a highly skilled based game that allows for players to compete with one another similar to other competitive, pvp-style games. Players will be able to participate in wager-rooms, where they will have the ability to earn against other players based on performance.

Similar to other games that allow for skill-based wagering, we’re excited to engage competitive gamers that are hungry for leaderboards and tournaments. Wager rooms take a portion of the entry fees and route them to the Unicorn Treasury, which helps fund the ecosystem at large.

How can we stay up to date with Laguna Games? Are we able to share any social feeds, streams, or live events with our readers?

Aron: Our official Twitter page and Discord server are the best places to get the latest Unicorn updates!

Find our Twitter at: https://twitter.com/crypto_unicorns

Join our Discord at: https://discord.com/invite/xSAAjcEWRU

Is there anything you would like to add for our readers?

Aron: Rainbow Rumble is just one piece of the Crypto Unicorns ecosystem! Our core land game allows players to breed their Unicorns, compete in weekly Jousting events, and power up Unicorns with gem-crafting.

The ecosystem connected through our $CU token. 50% of all treasury in-flows go to buying back and burning $CU tokens, giving us a pathway towards deflationary economics.

Thanks for your time, Aron. We look forward to catching more of Rainbow Rumble this coming quarter!
