5. Knockout City

This Is Knockout City: Official Gameplay Trailer

Players can't stop getting enough licks in EA Play's most competitive dodgeball game, Knockout City. This is most likely a result of the game announcing its removal from EA Play on June 1st, as it works to transition to a completely free-to-play model. Which we're not far away from. Season five came out back on March 1 and was slated to last for nine weeks. Well, eight weeks later Knockout City is on the verge of releasing Season six and the free version of the game with it.

As a result, Knockout City has risen to one of the best games on EA Play for April 2022, as seasoned crews prepare for the influx of new players. If you're an EA Play member, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get some experience in the game as it is still relatively new. You can imagine just how big the game is about to get as it transitions to its free-to-play model. On top of that an entirely new season, which is shaping up to be the biggest one yet.

4. The Sims 4

One title that seems it will last for eternity is The Sims 4. The game is an old addition to EA Play, and still polling in podium positions, month after month. And if you know a Sims gamer, you know why: they are among the most devoted fans in gaming. Although you have to admit, it's always fun crawling back to Sims 4 every once in a while to get away from your actual life. Especially when your Sim lives a more luxurious life than you do, but at least you get to live it through them.

The Sims 4 never fails to deliver a fun time, and evidently why it's one of the best games on EA Play in April. It's a great refresher if you've been drowning in the pool of FPS titles, and are just looking for a laugh. The game is quirky and definitely over the top with cheesiness, but it never fails to bring a smile to your face. The Sims 4 may not be the most stylish or newest game out there, but when you want some mindless fun, you can always resort to it.

It's just too hard to say no to reliving one of the best narrative gaming tales of all time.

With that, getting to relive it in 4k ultra-HD just makes the game feel like a continuous movie, where you're in control. And with all three installments included, you might as well hunker down for a marathon because after re-living the first title you just have to dive into Mass Effect two and three. It's something you should absolutely check out, as it looks that EA Play members can't get enough of the nostalgia.

2. Lost in Random

Lost in Random – Official Gameplay Trailer

The newest game to come to EA Play in April is also turning out to be one of the best. Lost in Random is a third-person, gothic, action-adventure, game that has the players' and citizens' fate entirely delegated on a single dice roll. The entire game is actually centered around dice, with the combat stemming from it, and even your companion sidekick is a talking dice named Dicey. Tactical combat is centered on collecting cards and rolling dice, therefore let's hope the RNG is on your side as you play.

The game isn't presented in a boring fashion either and is rather quite intriguing. The world is immersive and the characters really bring the environment to life alongside its award-winning written story. It's definitely an original idea and has taken EA Play by storm in April, making it one of the best games on The Play List. By far the most popular and easily surpassing its competition is Madden NFL 22. The game has only been on EA Play for a couple of months, and it hasn't even come close to budging from the number one spot. So expectedly with that in mind, it's taking the spot for the best game on EA Play in April 2022.
