Best Fighting Game

MultiVersus Season 1 is now well underway, with a roster of 19 characters thanks to the addition of Gizmo. And we know that three more characters from various universes are still set to appear on our screens. Rick from Rick and Morty will appear, as will Black Adam and Gizmo's evil counterpart, Stripe. All of this will undoubtedly alter the current meta of characters. While our favorite animated bunny may still be the best MultiVersus champion, the question of who makes up the top 10 best characters in MultiVersus Season 1 still remains.

But now that the dust has settled on MultiVersus Season 1, we have our picks for the 10 best characters. As a result, if you want to improve your chances, whether in 1v1 or 2v2, using these fictional icons is your best bet. However, don't expect to be blowing champs out of the water right away, as you'll still have to take some time learning how to utilize them. After all, the platform fighter comes with a good amount of skill and quick time reactions. But once you've got them down, these characters make for the best ones in MultiVersus Season 1.

10. Superman

Despite the fact that Superman is classified as a Tank, it should come as no surprise that he is also a highly offensive threat. His ability to combine his ariel prowess with Armored Attacks makes him a danger from above at all times. And his flight and grab ability allows him to quickly get out of dangerous situations or take advantage of players in them. Although he isn't the best player on the roster, his mobility combined with high-damage attacks makes him a threat to players who aren't quick or aware of their surroundings.

9. Velma

Before Season 1, Velma was one of the most powerful characters. Her time in the spotlight, however, was brief before she got nerfed. It's now much more difficult to use her move set without faster players like Harley Quinn and Arya Stark jumping on you in no time. However, Velma is still a stand-out pick in 2v2. That being said, if you can constantly land her attacks in 1v1, which is now much harder, she can be just as powerful as she once was.

8. Arya Stark

Arya Stark and her Needle sword deal some of the most damage of any character. However, as an assassin, her moveset isn't exactly a button-mashing fest. Learning Arya Stark will require some skill if you want to use her effectively without getting beaten up quickly. For example, her Face-Stealer stuns opponents and allows you to steal their attacks, making her moveset even more advanced than it is to begin with. She's difficult to master, and few players use her to her full potential, but when used properly, Arya Stark is one of the best characters in MultiVersus.

7. Shaggy

Shaggy is a true brawler who can go toe-to-toe with the best of them. His hard single-hit attacks, such as his Flying Kick and Power Uppercut, can break most attacks and deal a lot of damage. Plus, if he uses his “Zoinks” Special to enrage himself, you may want to flee the scene because that's when he hits extremely hard. If you can lock players in combos, Shaggy is one of the best characters in MultiVersus, and we would have ranked him higher if it weren't for his lack of mobility.

6. Tom and Jerry

In Season 1, Tom and Jerry have been steadily rising through the ranks. Mostly for their effective ranged attacks, which allow Tom to use Jerry as a missile or fishing rod to poke at opponents. However, landing these ranged attacks can be difficult, and it will take some practice to get the timing right. Despite this minor flaw, you can still rely on their melee attacks because there's a good mix of them that combine for great combos, much like Harley Quinn.

5. Jake The Dog

Jake The Dog is one of the game's most powerful bruisers, and you've probably seen him bully a match before. Although he isn't very fast, his “Get off of me” and “Dude!, Stretchin' Out” abilities make him very versatile. So, if you're smart with Jake, it's nearly impossible to die by falling off the map. Then you can jump back into the fight and start abusing people with his punch attack, which most players just constantly spam.

4. Batman

Best Characters in MultiVersus

Of course, everyone's favorite caped crusader had to make an appearance. After all, he is one of MultiVersus' most popular characters. His simple move set makes him an excellent choice for beginners, but his Bat Belt abilities are his true strength. His Batarang is an excellent disruptor, and his grapple is excellent for harassing and constantly engaging in the fight. Plus, if you ever get into trouble, you can use his smoke to cause confusion.

3. Finn The Human

Best Characters in MultiVersus

Close by Jake the Dog is his partner in crime, Finn. He is by far the best all-around character, allowing him to compete in any situation. As an assassin-based character, he is quick and nimble, and his basic ground attacks and combos hit hard. This makes him a very difficult champion to play against and is why he's a suitable choice for almost every fight.

2. Harley Quinn

Best Characters in MultiVersus

Harley Quinn, as expected has a bag full of tricks up her sleeve. Her bat and big hammer can constantly beat down players and make for a great skyward attack if any enemies are in the air for too long. This, combined with her basic attacks makes her flurry of combos extremely difficult to dodge and break out of. Her Stuffie Bat is also a great way to control space or sneak in a last hit on opponents. Allowing her to quickly re-engage and keep the pressure on you.

1. Bugs Bunny

Best Characters in MultiVersus

It's nearly impossible to stop a Bugs Bunny player who knows what they're doing. Bugs, like Finn, is an excellent all-around player but with a better variety of special moves. He can attack from range and melee, dealing significant damage with both. Furthermore, his passive arsenal of tricks makes him difficult to predict; he could be throwing dynamite, a Mr. Meeseeks at you, and then coming up with a heavy swing with his mallet. Playing Bugs Bunny is a chaotic and unpredictable experience, which explains why he's one of the best characters in MultiVersus right now.
