What is My Neighbor Alice?

Updated on

Evidently, the blockchain market is booming at the moment, with developers all over the network banding together to build exciting new games that not only help drive traffic to its kingdom — but also provide stepping stones for even the most clueless gamers to step along. And with the likes of My Neighbor Alice, in particular, nothing could be simpler to understand.

Thanks to its elegant design, vibrant palette and beginner-friendly interface, both blockchain know-it-alls and crypto kiddies are able to plunge into its gameplay and turn a rather healthy profit. But what is My Neighbor Alice, and why is it making such a mark on the blockchain at the moment? Well, let's break it down.

What is My Neighbor Alice?

My Neighbor Alice Demo (Early Prototype)

Think of My Neighbor Alice as a product of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (and maybe Farmville, for you early Facebook users). Its gameplay, similar to that of both mentioned games, involves building towns, meeting other players in an enormous network of unique islands, and foraging for in-game items and cosmetics, which can then be used or sold to other visitors.

On the surface, My Neighbor Alice is a family-friendly sandbox game that gives its users the freedom to build without limits. But with the addition of island sales and in-game trading, it eventually meshes into a quirky game fit for the blockchain. However, that's partly the reason why eager fans are obsessing over it. And although it has yet to release its full model, the platform as a whole has already managed to amass a global backing.

Gameplay

Create, customize, sell, and, well — do it again.

The idea is pretty simple: forage in-game assets, complete quests, and build virtual lands to share with both friends and the online community. My Neighbor Alice is really a two birds with one stone sort of deal, with its gameplay being appropriate for gamers with little to no interest in the Play-To-Earn aspect of the game, and players with a hunger to build on the game through its governance system.

Think of it as an entry-level game on the blockchain. In no way does it require a whole lot of funds to get started with, but it does give you the option to do so without being pressured into it. Of course, being a free-to-play game, you can gradually progress by simply playing the game and mining various assets.

The Island Network

There will be 100,000 available plots for sale over 6 unique islands.

Players can pruchase islands (hereby referred to as plots) through the in-game marketplace. After acquiring a plot, players can customize it under their own design, filling it with houses, farms, animals, as well as all sorts of unique decorations.

Plots are scarce, and only span 100,000 pieces over six islands; Snowflake Island, Medieval Plains, Lummestad (The Town), Nature's Rest, Sandy Coast, and Submerged Island's. Each terrain is vast and varied, with each faction being the home to different assets. Although the map has yet to be released, you can view a more in-depth description of each plot here.

What are My Neighbor Alice (ALICE) tokens?

The ALICE token tends to gravitate towards the $12 marker on Binance.

ALICE Use Cases
