The news shook the gaming world when EA announced a new “skate.” game at the 2020 EA Play showcase. Ever since Skate 3 was released in 2010, players have been clamoring for a sequel for newer consoles, as the game originally debuted on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Well, after 12 years of waiting and a couple of years since its release announcement, we finally have a first look at the new “skate.” game. EA and Full Circle decided to reignite the hype by releasing “pre-pre-pre-alpha” gameplay footage of the game in its current state and also the new “skate. insider program.”

Along with this extremely pre-alpha footage, players will have the opportunity to participate in the “skate. insider program”. Which is in fact a “CLOSED” playtesting, and a chance to get your hands on the game, early on. Devs, Full Circle, mentioned in its FAQ section, “we’re very early in the development of skate. and are bringing players into the game much sooner than is the norm in our industry… that’s why we want you playing and providing feedback early enough for us to make meaningful decisions and changes ahead of a worldwide launch.”.

If this is something you're interested in we've got all the details on how to sign up just below, but there's no guarantee you'll get in. However, it's still worth a shot as there's also mention of “more opportunities in the future”.

How to Register for Skate. Insider Program

To register for the closed playtesting, head to this site. To sign up, you must be at least 18 years old and have an EA account. You can also create one if you don't have one or if it has expired. You'll then be prompted with a questionnaire, and after answering you're email will be registered as part of the “skate. insider program.” Giving you a chance to be a part of the first closed playtesting and any future ones. There's no guarantee, and it appears to be a grim hope given how badly players want this game. But it's still worth a shot.
