All Weapons in Resident Evil Requiem, Ranked

A gun’s got to be precise, fast, and pack a punch. That’s, at least, the basis for my best guns. It has to be reliable in the heat of the moment, and not break or run out of ammo. If it runs out of ammo, then at least have quick reloads or a generous supply of ammo in the environment or from crafting.

Sure, you can level up most guns, strengthening whatever weaknesses they may have. But the base gun has to be relatively dependable. And you’re going to need guns for different scenarios as well; those for melee, ranged, crowd control, bosses, and so on. We’ve considered all of these concerns in our ranking of all weapons in Resident Evil Requiem.

Best Weapons for Grace in Resident Evil Requiem

Best Weapons for Grace in RE 9

Kicking off with Grace, whose gameplay focuses more on survival horror than action. Her weapons aren’t as powerful as Leon’s, with the best option being to run and hide. Plus, you can’t upgrade most of them. Still, they have decent enough stats to stun enemies when aimed at their weak points, in addition to delivering a staggering shot with the stealth injectors.

32. Bottle of Acid

Throwables aren’t as powerful as guns, but throwing the Bottle of Acid on the floor causes a considerable AoE damage attack on multiple enemies standing above it.

31. Molotov Cocktail

The Molotov Cocktail is more powerful, though, exploding on impact and dealing damage over time.

30. R.I.P. Knife

When you beat Resident Evil Requiem, you unlock the Insanity difficulty, where the R.I.P. Knife becomes available. It’s unlike other knives, with a special coating that bleeds enemies dry.

29. Makeshift Knife

Literally half a pair of scissors, the Makeshift Knife is useful for breaking free from an enemy’s grasp. But unfortunately breaks too easily.

28. Hunting Knife

The Hunting Knife is the superior version that is more powerful and lasts longer.

27. Hemolytic Injector

Stealth kills are Grace’s safest bet for survival, and the Hemolytic Injector is the most reliable when you sneak up on enemies or inject them when staggered or stunned.

26. Kotetsu (Knife)

Kotetsu Knife, meanwhile, is the one melee weapon that will never break on you.

25. B934 (Handgun)

It’s unsurprising that the B934 handgun is the weakest weapon for Grace, given that you get it pretty early on. Your best bet is to replace it with a better handgun as soon as you can.

24. Requiem (Revolver)

Although the Requiem Assault Revolver has low ammo, it’s pretty powerful and packs an incredible punch.

23. S&S M232 (Handgun)

You’re much better off with the S&S M232 handgun, which deals more damage for an early-game weapon.

22. Freya’s Needle (SMG)

You’ll have to beat Resident Evil Requiem to get your hands on Freya’s Needle, and it’ll surely pay off, with its speedy fire rate and more reliable headshots.

Best Weapons for Leon Resident Evil Requiem

Best Weapons for Leon Resident Evil Requiem

Leon has the benefit of wielding more powerful guns. He has dibs on all the shotguns as well.

21. Hand Grenade

The hand grenade is Leon’s go-to throwable in the ranking of all weapons in Resident Evil Requiem. It explodes after a few seconds, dealing damage (or killing) multiple enemies nearby.

20. Stacked Hand Grenade

Want an even bigger explosion? Try out the Stacked Hand Grenade, which is pretty much a hand grenade stacked on top of another.

19. Hatchet (Axe)

The Hatchet will quickly be a favorite, thanks to its adaptability. It can perform stealth kills, parry incoming attacks, deal light and heavy attacks that break bones, and pry open chests.

18. Chainsaw

Careful not to pick up the Chainsaw while it’s still spinning. Once you have it, you’ll be ripping apart zombies like a piece of cake.

17. Mortal Edge (Axe)

The Mortal Edge melee weapon is quite powerful, gives you more leeway when parrying, and lasts longer than the Hatchet.

16. Mortar

Some weapons are picked up during story-specific quests, like the Mortar, which rains hellfire on zombie hordes.

15. Ghost Grudge (Magnum)

After beating the game, you can unlock the Ghost Grudge Magnum. It’s similar to the Requiem Revolver, except it has higher DPS and fire rate. Its damage output is lower, though.

14. Redemption (Magnum)

A single shot of the Redemption Magnum is powerful enough to rival that of a rifle, enough to blast off limbs and explode enemy heads.

13. Matilda IMP (Handgun)

Matilda IMP might as well be an SMG because of its three-round bursts.

12. Alligator Snapper (Handgun)

Even though the Alligator Snapper handgun is Leon’s starting weapon, it’s still serviceable, especially with upgrades.

11. RPG-7 (Rocket Launcher)

Never a sweeter feeling than using an enemy’s own weapon against them. And the RPG-7 rocket launcher delivers that satisfaction in the first phase of the boss fight against Victor Gideon.

10. Requiem (Magnum)

Just as powerful as the Requiem Magnum weapon is for Grace, so is it for Leon in the ranking of all weapons in Resident Evil Requiem. So powerful, in fact, that one shot can take out multiple enemies at once.

9. MSBG 500 (Shotgun)

As a starting weapon, MSBG 500 performs pretty well for Leon, offering a wide spread of bullets but with low ammo.

8. Marksman 1A (Rifle)

As for the Marksman 1A, you’ll have to compromise on low damage. Otherwise, its fire rate and reload are fast.

7. Silencer 9 (Handgun)

In addition to precise headshots, the Silencer 9 handgun deals significant damage output.

6. Gal (SMG)

When overwhelmed, you might consider the Gal SMG, thanks to its large ammo capacity. Yet, its accuracy could use upgrading.

5. 990-TAC (Shotgun)

On the other hand, the accuracy of the 990-TAC shotgun is unmatched in our ranking of all weapons in Resident Evil Requiem. Plus, it comes with a high fire rate as well.

4. Classic 70 (Rifle)

Once you master using the Classic 70 rifle, it’ll deliver devastating firepower with great precision.

3. W870 Police (Shotgun)

The W870 Police damage output is also impressive, and it comes with a better spread than the MSBG 500.

2. Stiri REVO3 A1 (SMG)

Where the Stiri REVO3 A1 drags is in its accuracy. But that can be enhanced with upgrades, which, in addition to its high fire rate and damage output, make it a close contender for the best weapon in Resident Evil Requiem

1. Clatter Carbine (SMG)

In all considerations, Clatter Carbine comes out swinging, whether it’s damage output, fire rate, precision, or reload speed. Its only gripe is lower ammo capacity.
