Need for Speed Unbound: 5 Best Drag Cars, Ranked

If you're looking to be a step ahead of the competition, literally, the ideal way is to find the right car that complements your driving skills. With a fine roster of vehicles in Need for Speed: Unbound, it's easy to get carried away by the flamboyant outlook. However, each vehicle has features that can be used to outrun competitors.

As an upgrade from its predecessor, NFS Heat, the street racing game brings a boatload of new features, including car customization. The game also features updated drag races that you need to win to restore your garage to its former glory. So before you go head-to-head with some of the best players, here are the five best drag cars in Need for Speed Unbound to help you rank as a top-tier street racer.

5. Dodge Charger RT 1969

Muscle cars are always the top choice for any street racing, not only for their peak horsepower but also for their excellent handling of corners. The 1969 Dodge Charger RT is no different. As one of the muscle cars on the Need for Speed: Unbound roster, it's a second-generation model of the B-body Charger.

You may have also seen the car in action in the Fast and Furious movies, where it was Dom's choice. The Dodge is synonymous with the Toretto family, so it's no surprise it gets a feature in this virtual drag racing game. That being said, you can't go wrong with the 1969 Dodge Charger. It boasts an acceleration of 0 to 60 in five seconds and a high speed of 146 miles per hour.

The downside, however, is that it's not the fastest car on the list. While it can handle a drift extremely well, it may not be as fast as other fast cars chosen by your competitors. Even so, if you have good drifting skills, you can still win on windy tracks and beat your competitors. The 1969 Dodge Charter is among the first cars up for purchase, and you can gradually customize it to your liking.

4. Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2018

NFS Unbound - Twin Turbo Huracan is INSANE!! Full Build and Test Drive!

As a car enthusiast, the Lamborghini brand always stands out for its face-splitting speed. The Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2018 does not disappoint on that front. Equipped with a dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox, the car reaches top speed as quickly as possible. Also, without the front driving axle, the Huracan is unbelievably lighter and easier to handle.

Also, the car's chassis is also a top contender, allowing you to hit a speed of 200 miles per hour with an acceleration of zero to sixty in just 30 seconds. Although it is a slightly less powerful car in the Huracan lineup, the LP580 makes up for it with its rear-wheel design.

Furthermore, only a few cars come close to this high-end vehicle, aside from the LP 610-4 Spyder, which features all-wheel drive. Regardless, it's an excellent machine for bunning rubber on the streets of Need for Speed: Unbound. The car becomes available with progress in the game while in story mode. Alternatively, if you're playing online, you will need to complete 20 Tier S games in a Lamborghini.

The vehicle is track-oriented for a swift glide on and off the track. Not to forget its impressive torque and style.

Moreover, it also features enhanced performance capabilities owing to its carbon-ceramic brakes. This comes in handy when drifting or avoiding a collision that would cause massive damage to your car.

Also, the Z/28 Camaro boasts a high speed of 177 miles per hour and an impressive acceleration of 0 to 60 in less than four seconds. The car is available for purchase after successfully completing Qualifier 1 in story mode. If you're playing online, you will need to complete 10 Tier A quests in a Chevrolet.
