Capcom Sets October 29 Mobile Launch for Monster Hunter Outlanders

Capcom Co., Ltd. announced on September 29, 2026, that Monster Hunter Outlanders, the latest mobile title in the Monster Hunter series, will be released for iOS and Android on October 29, 2026, according to a Capcom press release. The title is developed by TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary of Tencent Games.

Product details in the release list the genre as Survival Hunting Action and pricing as free-to-play with in-app purchases. The Mainland Chinese version is scheduled for release from 2027 onwards.

Capcom describes the game as offering a wide variety of challenges, including hunting monsters and exploring the field alongside companions gathered from different regions. Controls optimized for mobile devices provide an accessible yet highly flexible hunting experience, according to the company.

Pre-Registration and Milestone Rewards

The game’s official website promotes classic weapons and brand-new skills on the go, new companions and a new island, an all-new Radiant species, resource gathering and facility building, and ever-changing landscapes to explore.

Pre-registration is open on the site, where visitors can also sign up by email to receive news and test announcements. The site lists global pre-registration milestones at 5 million, 10 million, 15 million, and 20 million, with rewards shown across the tiers including the Adventurer Raya character, Standard Contracts, 5,000 Zenny, Growth Concentrate, and Aqua Dew. Multiple entries on the milestone list are marked as achieved, and a separate milestone awards Standard Contracts when the game’s official social media followers reach 2 million. The website presents the game as a Capcom-licensed hunting adventure and names Proxima Beta Pte. Ltd. in its copyright notice.

Adventurers, Buddies, and Monsters

The site names nine adventurers across Assault, Disruptor, and Support classes. Pyro wields a great sword as an Assault, Keres and Raya fight with dual blades as Disruptors, Luka carries a lightning-wreathed bow as an Assault, Arkaya and Ouyang Varen use lances as a Support and an Assault respectively, Madelyn uses a bow as a Support, Midori wields a long sword hidden in her shamisen as an Assault, and Pepper uses a heavy bowgun as a Disruptor. Signature mechanics include Arkaya’s Resolve gauge, which builds through a steady stream of attacks, Ouyang Varen’s Impetus, Madelyn’s detonatable Spores, Raya’s Demon Gauge, and Midori’s Spirit Gauge.

Three buddy types accompany the adventurers. Rutaco are buddies native to Aesoland, skilled at using tools and Radiantite to build. Trillan are native to Aesoland as well and use their voices to support adventurers, while Palico are buddies who journeyed with adventurers to Aesoland and fight with various weapons and items.

The monster roster features Radiant variants corrupted by Radiantite and unique to Aesoland: Radiant Rathian, Radiant Anjanath, Radiant Diablos, Radiant Kulu-Ya-Ku, and Radiant Rathalos. Pink Rathian, a subspecies with vibrant pink scales, also appears, alongside Rathalos, which the site describes as the apex monster of the forests and the “King of the Skies.”

Licensing Agreement and Series Background

Capcom described the business arrangement behind the title in a Q&A summary published on October 29, 2025, after its financial results conference call for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. In that document, the company said development and operations of Monster Hunter Outlanders are handled by TiMi Studio Group through a licensing agreement for the Monster Hunter brand, and said it expects the game to further enhance brand recognition both domestically and internationally.

In the September 29 release, Capcom said it will continue to leverage its portfolio of leading game brands as it seeks to broaden recognition of its intellectual properties and maximize the value of its content in the growing global mobile games market.

Capcom describes the Monster Hunter series as hunting action games that pit players against giant monsters in beautiful natural environments. Beginning with the first title in 2004, the series established a cooperative hunting genre played with friends, and Capcom reports cumulative series sales exceeding 131 million units as of June 30, 2026.
