Delasport Powers PlayBetNova.ca Launch in Alberta, Its Second Province
iGaming technology supplier Delasport is live in Alberta with operator PlayBetNova.ca, the company announced on October 19, 2026, extending its partnership with the Betnova brand into a second province and marking Delasport’s second Canadian market after Ontario. The go-live, datelined Toronto, comes three months after Alberta’s online gaming market opened on July 13, 2026, as Canada’s newest regulated market.
The launch brings Delasport’s full turnkey stack to PlayBetNova.ca: its proprietary Sportsbook and Casino products, its Player Account Management platform and its Managed Services. Delasport said the stack gives the operator the technology and operational support to launch, run and grow in the province.
PlayBetNova.ca is the Alberta online sportsbook and casino brand in the Betnova family and is powered by Delasport’s turnkey platform, according to the announcement.
Delasport said the go-live demonstrates its ability to quickly turn expansion plans into live operations, backed by compliance expertise and a focus on player experience.
Market Figures Cited by Delasport
The announcement framed the launch against Ontario’s regulated market, which generated CA$82.7 billion in wagers and CA$3.2 billion in gross gaming revenue in fiscal 2024-25, according to iGaming Ontario figures cited by Delasport. The company described the Alberta go-live as tapping one of North America’s most promising new markets.
The announcement also cited a Government of Alberta estimate that unregulated operators still account for around 70% of local iGaming activity in the province. Analysts at H2 Gambling Capital expect the regulated market to convert that gap into roughly CA$1.2 billion in first-year gross gaming revenue, according to the figures Delasport cited.
“Going live in Alberta with PlayBetNova.ca is another milestone in Delasport’s growth across regulated markets and a major step forward in Canada,” said Oren Cohen Shwartz, Delasport’s chief executive officer.
Shwartz said the company’s continued growth is built on the success of its partners and that supporting their expansion with both technology and Managed Services is central to Delasport’s long-term strategy. He said the company looks forward to continuing that momentum in Canada and beyond, adding that its technology supports adapting quickly to regulatory requirements, which lets Delasport enter new markets quickly.
Supplier Registrations Preceded the Launch
The launch follows two supplier registrations Delasport obtained from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, which the company announced in a separate post on September 16, 2026. Delasport said the registrations, one as an iGaming Goods or Services Supplier – Platform Provider and one as a Critical Gaming Systems Supplier, cleared it to operate in Alberta and marked its second regulated Canadian market.
Together, the two registrations let Delasport supply its Player Account Management platform, proprietary Sportsbook and Casino Aggregation product to operators in the province. The company said its platform had been connected to Alberta’s Central Self-Exclusion system and configured for the automatic daily, weekly and monthly reporting the regulator requires. Delasport said the timing reflected a fast-growing Canadian sector.
In the September announcement, Filippo Ferri, Delasport’s chief compliance officer, tied the registrations to the company’s Ontario performance and its readiness for Alberta: “Our success in Ontario has demonstrated that we have the technology, expertise and operational capabilities to help operators succeed in highly regulated Canadian markets. We’re ready to support both existing and new partners as they enter Alberta.”
Existing Ontario Operations
The Alberta launch builds on Delasport’s Ontario operations, where its turnkey technology and Managed Services already power brands including TitanPlay and Betnova, the announcement said. Ontario was the supplier’s first Canadian market, and the September post also named Maverick Games among the licensed Ontario brands its technology and Managed Services underpin.
Delasport pointed in September to a compliance milestone from that market, saying TitanPlay passed RG Check Accreditation with the Responsible Gambling Council at the first attempt and recorded what the company described as a very high overall score.
