Additionally, being available on the Xbox Game Pass means that the barrier to entry for this game is increasingly lowered. So if you haven't given the game a chance, now is the time.

Created by Obsidian Entertainment, this game has the DNA of many different RPGs from the past. This combines to make the game have the fleshed-out appeal of games from the past with the stunning presentation of current-gen titles. The game isn't lonely either, as players can recruit different NPCs to accompany them on their journey. These characters are well fleshed out themselves and serve to only enrich the world and your experience of it. To close, The Outer Worlds is a great example of how many fantastic RPGs there are on the Xbox Game Pass.

3. Assassin's Creed Origins

The world crafted within Assassin's Creed Origins is absolutely breathtaking. Serving to recreate Egypt, this game allows players to travel through the pyramids and even features a staggeringly accurate recreation of their interiors. The game follows a story that immediately grabs the player as well. Plaetyrs p[lay as Bayek, a Medjay, or protector for this small village. Firstly, this immediately makes us root for our main character and want him to succeed.

Secondly, the world within this game is in and of itself a character in the world. There are many aspects tath make this game feel as alive as possible. For example, many of the game's NPCs have their own schedules to adhere to. This gives the world a great feeling of verisimilitude and immersion. It cannot be overstated how slept-on this title was as well, and it is hoped that through the power of the Xbox Game Pass, players who haven't been able to experience the game will be able to do so and experience the game in all of its glory.

2. Chained Echoes

Switching gears quite a bit, we have Chained Echoes. This lovable sixteen-bit journey has players playing through a classic JRPG-style story. Players will have to recruit their party and make their way through the game, which has stunning environments for its genre. It also does a great deal to somewhat alter the classic JRPG formula as well. It does this in a number of ways, with one of the ways being its approach to enemy encounters. Enemy encounters are made much easier to deal with because enemies as marked on the map for the player to choose when to engage with them.

While this game has received a ton of support recently, initially, it wasn't as highly praised as it arguably should be. So if you are a diehard JRPG fan or simply a fan of games with a fantastic world and story, then definitely check out Chained Echoes on Xbox Game Pass. As this is an experience worth experiencing for any player. To close, this is a fantastic title to recommend to anyone with JRPG sensibilities or turn-based combat lovers out there.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a  game that ceases to stop giving players an unforgettable experience. Experiencing the world through the eyes of Geralt of Rivera never stops being incredible. No matter how many times you revisit the game and its world, the love that was poured into this title by its developers is always palpable. The combat even recently got an upgrade through the Next-Gen update for the game. This serves to bring the game's combat more in line with modern titles.

The quality of life improvements included in this update is also admirable. As they combine to make the world all the more immersive and fun to be in. So if you are looking for an RPG to dump countless hours into and a way to keep your pockets safe through the power of Xbox Game Pass, definitely pick up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. You won't regret it. To close, this game is not only one of the best RPGs in recent memory but a game that serves to remind us all of what is so enjoyable about these game worlds.
