Sportradar Expands Polymarket Data Deal to Over 20 Sports Leagues
Sportradar and Polymarket have significantly expanded their prediction-market partnership, extending Sportradar’s official sports data, live streaming and integrity services across more than 20 global leagues and competitions covering roughly 300,000 matches a year, the companies announced 27 august 2026.
The expanded U.S. agreement adds some of the most heavily traded properties in world sport to Polymarket’s menu: Germany’s Bundesliga, Euroleague Basketball, the Chinese Basketball Association, Australia’s National Basketball League, the Tennis Grand Slams and UTR Pro events, among others. Exclusive streaming rights for the ATP Tour, the Bundesliga and Euroleague Basketball come with the package, putting live game action directly alongside the markets users are trading.
The deal builds on the pair’s existing arrangement covering the ATP Tour, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer and the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and both companies say they expect to keep adding products, properties and markets. Polymarket operates its U.S. platform as a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a different legal footing from the state-licensed sportsbooks that buy the same official league data.
“Prediction markets represent a compelling adjacent growth opportunity and Sportradar is cementing its role as the foundational infrastructure powering this ecosystem,” Sportradar chief executive Carsten Koerl said in the announcement. “Accurate real-time data, premium live content and a robust integrity framework are what allow these markets to price efficiently, settle reliably, and retain the confidence of participants.”
Ari Borod, Polymarket’s president of sports business development, said the expansion gives the platform premium data, live content and integrity services at what he called an unprecedented scale as it builds out its sports offering.
What Sportradar Is Supplying
The agreement runs across five product lines, per the announcement. Premium sports data and live odds power Polymarket’s pre-game and in-play markets and drive settlement timing, the point where official data matters most, since a contract settles on the feed’s final call rather than a broadcaster’s score bug. Audiovisual content supplies the exclusive ATP Tour, Bundesliga and Euroleague Basketball streams. Fan engagement tools deliver scores, schedules and data visualizations, and a marketing-services layer handles customer acquisition aimed at sports fans.
The fifth line is integrity monitoring. Polymarket gets Sportradar’s UFDS AI, the system that flags suspicious betting patterns, plus access to the Sportradar Integrity Exchange, a secure network through which participants share integrity threats. For event contracts that function like wagers in all but statutory name, that monitoring layer is the same machinery Sportradar sells to licensed sportsbooks and leagues.
A Land Grab for Prediction-Market Plumbing
The Polymarket expansion is Sportradar’s second major prediction-market agreement in under three months. On 8 iunie 2026, the St. Gallen-based company announced a multi-year global partnership with Kalshi, covering official data, live odds, engagement tools, customer acquisition and the same UFDS AI and Integrity Exchange package across MLB, the NHL, MLS and UFC. That deal also gave Sportradar the ability to contract directly with Kalshi’s market makers and brokers, extending its data reach beyond the exchange itself.
Sportradar described Kalshi in that announcement as the world’s largest prediction market; Polymarket carries the same description on its own platform. With agreements now feeding both, Sportradar has positioned its data and integrity stack underneath the two biggest venues in the category regardless of which one wins the volume race. Gaming.net covered rival Genius Sports signing its own official data and integrity deal with Kalshi on 5 august 2026, evidence that the contest to supply prediction markets now mirrors the official-data duopoly that has long defined the licensed sportsbook supply chain.
The timing is also notable against the regulatory weather around the category. South Korea’s gambling regulator moved to block Polymarket as illegal gambling after a month-long review, a reminder that the same event contracts drawing eight-figure infrastructure deals in the U.S. sit outside the law in other jurisdictions.
The Rights Stack Behind the Deal
The new Polymarket inventory rests on distribution rights Sportradar has been locking down through the summer. On 26 august 2026, the day before the Polymarket announcement, the company extended its exclusive global distribution of Euroleague Basketball official data and audiovisual betting rights through 2031, a renewal covering more than 650 games a season across the EuroLeague and EuroCup that begins with the 2026-27 campaign, as Gaming.net reported. Sportradar’s basketball portfolio also spans the NBA, WNBA and domestic leagues in Australia, Brazil, China, France, Greece, Italy and Spain, and a 4 iunie 2026 extension kept Wimbledon’s official data and streaming rights in the same cupboard that now feeds the Tennis Grand Slam coverage.
That is the commercial logic of the expansion: Sportradar buys exclusive league rights at the source, then sells the same feed into every channel that prices a market on the game, licensed sportsbooks, media products, and now CFTC-regulated event-contract venues. With roughly 300,000 matches a year under the Polymarket umbrella and both companies publicly committed to adding more properties, the next announcement in this series is a matter of when, not whether.
