Sportsbook solution supplier DATA.BET released a major update to its Prediction Markets vertical on 8. September 2026, adding a crypto-focused Up or Down market type, live and historical data widgets across the Crypto and Finance categories, and API integration alongside the existing iFrame deployment. Prediction Markets is the company’s standalone betting vertical for real-world events, launched in April 2026.

Up or Down Market Mechanics

Up or Down is designed specifically for the crypto category. Each market opens with a price to beat, and players back either Up or Down at standard decimal odds. The markets run across five settlement horizons: 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, and daily.

According to DATA.BET, the short-cycle markets settle in minutes rather than months, complementing the vertical’s longer-horizon political and economic events. The company said the format gives operators additional betting opportunities during a single session that does not depend on the sports calendar.

New Widgets and API Access

A dedicated widget shows the asset’s live price, plots the target line on the chart, and counts down to settlement. The Crypto and Finance categories gain live and historical price data covering assets from BTC and ETH to commodities such as gold and oil.

Probability history widgets, with timeframes of 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, and all, now appear across every category. DATA.BET said the additions, combined with volume figures and resolution conditions published before each market opens, show players the full context of a market before they bet.

The vertical is also now accessible through an API as well as the previously announced iFrame. The release delivers broader system optimization, improvements to content management, and continued development of the liquidity module, work DATA.BET said targets greater market stability and faster turnaround as the vertical scales.

“Prediction Markets was built to give operators a fast-moving, always-on offering that runs independently of the sports calendar,” said Rostyslav Likhtin, Head of Product at DATA.BET. “We’re making it faster to trade, easier to read, and easier to deploy, and this is only the first step in how far we’re taking this.”

April 2026 Launch

DATA.BET launched Prediction Markets on 29. April 2026, introducing the vertical as a way for operators to offer markets on global events across politics, geopolitics, finance, technology, crypto, economy, culture, and weather.

At the time, the company said it designed the product to reduce the structural complexity typical of exchanges. The vertical operates within a familiar sportsbook logic, with clear pricing and fiat transactions, so players can place bets without using cryptocurrency, an approach DATA.BET said lowers the entry barrier for both operators and end users.

The solution treats prediction markets as a standalone product within the platform rather than extending existing sportsbook mechanics. Its architecture includes VWAP and supports both binary and multi-outcome events. Capabilities listed at launch included combo bets alongside single bets, a simplified interface, dedicated event pages with a probability bar, volume data, and resolution conditions, cashout and fast-settled markets, and optimized betting limits with slippage-aware mechanics. The vertical was made available via iFrame with no additional integration required for existing partners.

According to DATA.BET’s product page, operators set up markets in either a binary Yes/No format or as multi-outcome range markets with custom price brackets, with odds, position control, and settlement handled automatically through internally developed pricing models. Players use their existing balances, with no new account or wallet required, and can bet in whatever currency the platform already supports, fiat or crypto. The page states that odds are informed by live market data and updated continuously.

Speaking at the April launch, DATA.BET CEO Yurii Berest said the release represented a technically complex challenge the team had solved with a strong focus on usability. He said prediction markets would continue to gain momentum and that the key difference would be how effectively the mechanic is adapted to sportsbook and casino environments. “Building them as a standalone vertical, without blending sports, esports, and virtual sports content into the same category, we ensure clear product structure and positioning for operators and platform providers,” he said.

According to DATA.BET, operators already connected to the supplier can enable Prediction Markets using their existing odds feed credentials and the Sport events API, with no separate integration project required.
