OpenBet Takes Loterie Romande’s JouezSport Sportsbook Live
OpenBet has launched its next-generation sportsbook with Loterie Romande, moving the operator’s JouezSport omnichannel sportsbook onto the OpenBet platform across online, self-service and 2,350 point-of-sale retail locations, the company announced on 14 octombrie 2026. Loterie Romande is the exclusive regulated sports betting operator for Switzerland’s six French-speaking cantons and a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA).
OpenBet said the partnership further cements its position as a technology partner to WLA members, adding that its technology and services power more than 20 lotteries worldwide.
Cash Out and Trading Technology
According to the announcement, Loterie Romande’s focus has been improving the omnichannel experience for its players, and a new Cash Out feature is live at launch across the operator’s digital channels.
OpenBet said its Managed Trading Services provide Loterie Romande with AI-enhanced odds and risk management, while the OpenBet Trading System acts as a multi-vendor orchestration hub, giving the operator access to data, trading services and scalable content through a single integration.
Nikos Konstakis, President at OpenBet, said: “We are proud to partner with Loterie Romande, delivering an enhanced player experience with Cash Out live at launch, alongside an unwavering commitment to responsible gaming and regulatory compliance. We are delighted to continue our track record of delivering world-class technology and peerless scale to WLA members around the world.”
OpenBet is a Gold Contributor to the WLA, a status that requires suppliers to meet the association’s standards for social responsibility, responsible gaming, security and risk management.
Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, CEO of Loterie Romande, said: “OpenBet’s sportsbook technology, track record and customer-centric approach meant that they were best placed to understand our specific requirements, and the natural choice to evolve the experience for our players. We are excited to see how this partnership continues to evolve, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the OpenBet team.”
Agreement Reached in martie 2025
The launch follows Loterie Romande’s selection of OpenBet on 26 martie 2025, under which OpenBet agreed to provide online and retail betting technology and front-end solutions while supporting the operator’s migration from its existing platform.
That agreement covered OpenBet’s digital front-end and support for the lottery’s newly developed LoRoPlay+ self-service betting terminals, intended to deliver a seamless player experience across online and retail channels. It also gave Loterie Romande access to Managed Trading Services drawing on more than 100 traders with round-the-clock coverage, alongside Trading System feed integration supplying real-time data delivery and optimised odds.
Moner-Banet said at the time that OpenBet’s technology, industry expertise and player protection tools would let the lottery continue its sportsbook in a safe and responsible way, with strict adherence to anti-money-laundering standards and player welfare.
World Cup 2026 Platform Volumes
The launch lands in what OpenBet has described as a record year for the company. OpenBet said it processed more than 175 million bets and took over $3 billion in stakes across its global platform customers during the FIFA World Cup 2026, its largest betting event to date, without a single platform outage between the opening match and the final.
In a 22 iulie 2026 review of the tournament, the company reported that 23 million Player Prop bets were processed during the competition, up 130% on Qatar 2022, and that the final between Spain and Argentina drew 831,000 BetBuilder bets, 39% more than at the previous World Cup final. Selections on player stats markets grew almost fivefold on the last World Cup, and ten of the 20 most repeated bet combinations included a Player Goals or Player Stats selection, compared with four in 2022.
OpenBet reported standout volumes among its UK-facing customers during England’s semi-final run, with the quarter-final against Norway drawing almost 5 million pre-match bets and the match against Argentina close behind at 4.65 million. In-play betting grew as the tournament progressed, rising to around one bet in six through the knockout rounds, with live bets carrying significantly higher average stakes than pre-match.
Beyond the sportsbook platform, the company said OpenBet Locator processed more than 200 million location checks during the World Cup across regulated US states. It also provided Managed Trading Services to platform customers worldwide throughout the tournament, producing odds, supplying trading content and managing risk and liability.
