CD PROJEKT RED reported 435 million PLN in first-half 2026 revenue and 249 million PLN in consolidated net profit on 2026년 9월 2일, and used the earnings date to lay out a multi-year publishing plan for the Witcher universe running through a planned Witcher 4 release window in 2028.

In its half-year results announcement, the company said first-half revenue was 23% higher than in the same period a year earlier, while consolidated net earnings rose 37% year over year. The Group’s net profitability for the first half of the year reached 57.2%. The full financial statement is available through the company’s investor result center.

Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski framed the Witcher plans around the franchise’s installed base. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold over 65 million copies, and global sales of the entire series have surpassed 90 million copies, according to the company.

“This foundation enables us to chart the future of the universe over a period of multiple years – instead than focusing on a single release,” Nowakowski said, adding that gamescom marked the first time the studio publicly unveiled the scope of those plans.

Three Witcher Releases Across Three Years

The first release in the sequence is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, which launches 2026년 9월 29일, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and as a native Nintendo Switch 2 release for the first time. The remastered edition includes both previously published expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, and is a free download for everyone who purchased the base edition of the game.

The second release is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, a third expansion for the 2015 game developed in collaboration with Fool’s Theory and scheduled for 2027. The studio showed the expansion publicly for the first time during gamescom’s Opening Night Live in Cologne, presenting a gameplay trailer to attendees.

“Eleven years after his last adventure Geralt will hit the trail one more time – before Ciri takes over as the main protagonist in The Witcher 4,” Nowakowski said. He added that more than ten thousand fans gathered at the studio’s stands to watch the Songs of the Past gameplay trailer.

The planned release window for The Witcher 4 is 2028. The company said that between this year and the fourth game’s launch, it is aiming for one large Witcher-themed release each year. Through a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, both Remastered and Songs of the Past will also be available on Battle.net.

Cyberpunk Sales and Licensing

Cyberpunk 2077 has crossed 40 million copies sold nearly six years after its release, the company said, while the Phantom Liberty expansion has sold 15 million copies in less than three years.

“These figures reflect deliberate lifecycle management of our releases, which covers expansion to new platforms and continuous support for the game itself,” Nowakowski said. He described Cyberpunk as a broad franchise extending beyond video games, noting that Night City has been featured this year in Wuthering Waves and Apex Legends, and that the Cyberpunk TCG became the most funded gaming project in Kickstarter’s history.

The anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, again co-developed with Japanese studio TRIGGER, launches on Netflix on October 20. The company said the first season of Edgerunners had a measurable impact on the popularity of the game.

First-Half Financial Detail

CFO Piotr Nielubowicz attributed the first-half revenue level to sales of games from the Cyberpunk and Witcher universes, along with a growing contribution from IP licensing.

“Our high revenues in the first half of 2026 were enabled by strong sales of games from the Cyberpunk and Witcher universes,” Nielubowicz said. “In addition, this year a significant contribution came from licensing our IP – an activity which is progressively becoming more important for us, and which reflects the recognition and status of our brands within the global popular culture.”

The company described the coming Witcher lineup as its strongest ever publishing slate for the universe. The next documented milestones are the 2026년 9월 29일 launch of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered and the October 20 debut of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on Netflix, with Songs of the Past to follow in 2027 and The Witcher 4 planned for 2028.
