10. Resident Evil 7 VR

As if Resident Evil 7 wasn’t terrifying enough on console, right? There just had to be a VR version.

9. Outlast

Changing the face of horror gaming with its 2013 debut, for sure.

But when you’re in an asylum with endless wandering psychopaths, those navigational instincts can often lead to all the wrong places. So, to stay alive, you must harvest as many batteries as possible as you plough through the institute and search for an escape. But, of course — that’s easier said than done.

8. Soma

This tale manages to combine a gripping story with some absolutely terrifying segments.
