Xbox Showcase 2023: News, Predictions & Schedule

In light of Sony’s PlayStation Showcase drawing to a close, Microsoft has announced its annual Xbox Showcase, an event that will touch base on all the latest IPs set to roll out in 2023 and beyond. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

What Is the Xbox Showcase 2023?

To put you in the picture, Xbox has teased yet another lengthy online event. Specifically, an hour-long showcase that’ll shed light on several first-party exclusives and a whole bunch of upcoming indie titles set to release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. What’s more, it’ll include a selection of additional updates on some of the industry’s long-forgotten IPs—games that, prior to the announcement, many believed to have been discarded or placed on the back burner for an indefinite period of time.

Where Is the Xbox Showcase 2023?

The good news is, this month’s showcase will be entirely online, which means you won’t have to go all that far to catch it in the virtual flesh. Matter of fact, you’ll be able to catch it over on YouTube, and not to mention several alternative streaming handles including Twitch and Twitter.

When Is the Xbox Showcase 2023?

The Xbox Showcase 2023 will be going live on June 11 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST / 7PM CET. There will also be a further event — Xbox Showcase Extended, which will air on June 13 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST / 7PM CET. This second stream will include additional in-depth interviews with various developers and industry titans, and will, in essence, add a second layer to the initial event. So, it’s definitely worth sticking around for.

Predictions

As far as material goes, the likelihood of seeing a few Bethesda games pop up is definitely high. Aside from that, we’re also expecting to get a deeper look into IPs including Fable, The Outer Worlds 2, and Contraband. Starfield, on the other hand, will be getting its own extensive presentation — so don’t expect to see much of that during the event.

Whatever the case may be, Xbox has promised to highlight the updates on all its major games, and not to mention games from its partners. So, expect a bit more than a full-length Xbox Game Studios presentation, basically.
