Xbox and Bethesda to Host a Joint Conference Next Month

Published

 on

Xbox and Bethesda Softworks will be binding together for a joint conference next month to reveal their upcoming projects. Of course, seeing as Bethesda was recently bought out by Microsoft, it seems only right that the two factions would assemble to deliver one remote presentation — one which might just coincide with E3 2021 and Summer Game Fest.

Matt Booty, who is known to pull the strings over at Xbox Game Studios, recently pitched in to French publication, Le Figaro, about the notion. In the discussion, the Xbox head confirmed the liaison with Bethesda, and even went as far as pencilling in a rough date for a joint conference. Although no major details have been revealed over the event, it is expected that both gaming giants will shed light on what each faction has been brewing from behind the scenes. Apart from that — all lips have been sealed for the time being.

ZeniMax Media, which parents Bethesda Softworks, was purchased earlier this year for $7.5 billion.

Could we see the Xbox/Bethesda joint conference at E3 2021?

‘In a few weeks', as Booty put it, both Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda will step up to the stage and delve into their latest works. With that, E3 definitely seems to be a plausible stage for the conference, as both studios were some of the first to join the roster this year. Other than that, neither branch has cemented anything else in place for 2021.

With all of this put on a platter, we'd definitely place our money on catching the juicy details at the E3 showcase next month. But we'll keep an eye out to see if anything drops before then, of course. In the meantime, you can check in on the discussion on Twitter.

E3 2021 is set to go live on June 12 – June 15 on multiple online platforms. You can follow the updates for the showcase here.
