One of the new wrestling games that is in development is “Ultra Violence.” With a title like that, it is suppose to be the most violent wrestling game ever, winning the hearts of ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling” fans, independent wrestling fans, backyard wrestling fans, etc. There is something about entertainment that makes us love watching people feel pain.

Why does “Ultra Violence” sound too close to the singer-songwriter, Lana Del Ray’s third studio album “Ultraviolence”? In the movie and book version of “A Clockwork Orange,” the term “Ultra Violence” means horrible, horrible violence. It can be anyone’s guess on where the title of “Ultra Violence” came from. What we are not sure is what platforms “Ultra Violence” will be on, as well as the release date.

ULTRAVIOLENCE Pro Wrestling! OMG. This Development team is doing something unique and I like it.

Gameplay:

Thanks to Gackdaw (the Game Designer, making his dream death match game,” death match style wrestling fans are expected to play the “Create-A-Wrestler” and “Create-A-Ring” set. With “Create-A-Ring,” you can change the sides of the ropes, where one side is barbed wire, another side has no ropes, and another has a string of light tubes.

Just like in actual hardcore matches, you can maintain your persona as a heel (a wrestler who is portrayed as a villain) by tearing up the ring mat, exposing the boards. Go further into seeking violence by removing the boards, exposing the barbed wire netting. Now, what we do not know is just how lacerated the opponent's face can get, how bruised up the body can get, how many bones may break, etc. Since there is a scaffold in the gameplay footage, perhaps there will be an official “Scaffold Match,” but to continue the match after the opponent is thrown off the scaffold is living up to the title of the game. Step aside UFC (Ultimate Championship Fighting).

If there is one thing we learned about the gameplay footage besides the violence, we learned that there is blood. What would be engaging is if you can whack your opponent so hard with a foreign object, they break kayfabe. A part of hardcore wrestling fans want to treat their opponent like a crash test dummy and get an insane crowd reaction with an ongoing legacy.

Can you imagine the finished product? Women would eavesdrop on the sound effects of you brutalizing your opponents, wanting to bond with you. Maybe that will not be the case, but you will probably get the rowdy crowd cheering for you. So far, we know some of the wrestlers will be John Wayne Murdoch (The Duke of Hardcore) and Ruckus.
