Ubisoft will Reportedly Reveal Skull & Bones Next Month Again

Ubisoft has once again delayed the long-awaited pirate game Skull & Bones. The publisher announced that it had postponed the release of the game till next year.

Ubisoft announced in a statement that the decision to postpone the release of the game is in response to player feedback from its most recent testing session. The game was scheduled for a November 8 release.

“While the game development is finished at this stage, the extra time will be used to further polish and balance the experience using players’ feedback from our Technical tests and Insider Program which happened over the past two weeks,” Ubisoft said in a statement.

According to the statement, Skull and Bones won’t be ready for release in November. Ubisoft made the announcement just a day before the hands-on experience it had planned for the media. Despite the delay, the company intends to proceed with an open beta for certain players. Ubisoft will reveal the details on registration and participation soon. Skull and bones will, later on, be launched on March 29, 2023.

“Ahoy there, privateers. Our team is hard at work polishing and balancing the experience ahead of the worldwide launch. As a result, we’ve made the tough decision to move our release date to March 9, 2023,” the statement read in part.

The pirate adventure game set in the Indian Ocean in the 17th century has had a troubled development. Ubisoft first revealed the game at E3 2017. However, the game’s development started in 2013. This is not the first time the developers have delayed the game’s release. Ubisoft initially scheduled the game to launch in late 2018. However, the developers have delayed the release four times in the previous four years.

Ubisoft had earlier revealed that the game would launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft Windows, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
