Ubisoft Could Announce New Assassin’s Creed This September

Ubisoft could very well be prepping a new Assassin's Creed showreel from behind the curtain for this September. Or at least, that's what fans are beginning to believe.

During the series' fifteenth anniversary live stream, Ubisoft went on to touch base on the franchise as a whole, and how it will play out over the coming years. But as far as noteworthy features and details went, the celebrated developer kept its lips sealed. Instead, it pinned a new event up on the calendar, one that is now shaping up to take place in September this year.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there's no real evidence to back fans' claims of there being a new game announcement at the September stream. That said, Ubisoft will be using the time slot to speak about the future of the Creed, and presumably which new assassins will be aiding the struggle against the Templar Order. And so, in all fairness, it does seem likely that a new game is on the cards.

What's in store, Ubisoft?

Of course, we're currently on the fence about Assassin's Creed Rift, a rumored sequel to Valhalla that is supposedly already in the works. And then, there's Assassin's Creed Infinity, an all-in-one package with a live-service module. Both of these titles could very well release over the next two years, followed by what we can only assume is the next major Assassin's Creed entry. Though, until September rolls around, I suppose we won't really know.

Whatever the case, you can follow Ubisoft over on their socials for all the latest patch updates. If anything drops in the meantime, we'll be sure to let you know.

So, what's your take? Do you think a new Assassins Creed game will be announced during the September showcase? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.
