The Tim Burton-Inspired Lost In Random Is Coming To All Consoles

While there is a new 3D South Park game in development, we do not yet know if the game will officially be released. In the meanwhile, let’s take a look at the action-adventure game (developed by Zoink and and soon to be published by Electronic Arts), Lost In Random. Does it make you inclined to epically lose that perfectly developed smile you wear, after a video game is said to be marvelous, but it is not?

The Tim Burton-inspired, Lost In Random is expected to be on every console. With a comedic title like that (where every citizen’s future is determined by rolling a dice), I doubt the video game was randomly made. Embark on a journey with Evan and Dicey, playing the odds to stop the curse of random. Defeat your fate or embrace chaos. On September 10, 2021, Lost in Random will be on the following platforms: PS4 (Playstation 4), PS5 (PlayStation 5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Origin, and Steam. If you are overly excited, then pre-order the game on the following softwares.

Lost in Random – Official Story Trailer

The Twisted Fairytale:

In a kingdom of Random, a livid queen lives, controlling a mysterious, black dice. It makes more sense to call it a queendom, but maybe the storyline was also random. It cannot be too random, knowing that it takes a lot of brainstorming to think about certain video games. Lost In Random is in a peculiar world, where the dialogue is written by author, Ryan North (an Eisner Award-winning Adventure Time and Marvel Comic’s The Unbeatable Squirrel).

Every child of Random are given a chance to roll a dice on their twelfth birthday, determining which realm of the kingdom they belong to (for all eternity). Roll a one and you are sent to Onecroft (to live a life of struggle), roll a three and land in Threedom (a chaotic realm destroyed by the Civil War, and roll a six, then you live a life of luxury in the Queen’s dark palace.

Two devoted sisters (named Even and Odd) from Onecroft were separated, because on Odd’s twelfth birthday, she rolled a six. Just one year after the separation, Even received an odd signal, concerned if Odd is in danger. In the Valley of Dice, Even discovered an anthropomorphic dice (which is something that was forbidden to other citizens). With the living and breathing dice, Evan can alter the world around her, including time itself (traveling across all six realms of random). On their journey, there are unpredictable citizens, disturbing enemies, fun quests, and a dark secret to unravel. Her other super-abilities are a large hammer for long-range melee combat, traps, and exploding dice.

Lost In Random’s Creative Director (Olav Redmalm) called the game a homage to the “dark fairy tales” and stop-motion, animated features during his upbringing.
