Tell Me Why Is Now Available for Free on All Platforms

Updated on

Following on from the critically-acclaimed Life is Strange series, DONTNOD Entertainment decided to explore a whole new topic — one of which was encapsulated in Tell Me Why, the 2020 award-winning bundle. And now, thankfully, you too can immerse in the captivating tale on any platform — for free. Though, there is a slight catch here, as expected whenever clocking the word “free” in any offer. But you probably expected that, right?

Tell Me Why might've drawn a few million eyes over their curious tweet, but the truth is, you'll only be able to get your hands on chapter one of three. So, basically a teaser for the game and not the complete series. However, there's nothing wrong with treading the waters before taking a dip in the ocean. But if you do happen to find yourself engaging with the intriguing narrative between two siblings, then you can purchase the second and third chapters at a discounted price. For now, anyway.

That's right, Tell Me Why is available for as little as $9.99, which is 50% off the original price. So, we can't complain. Although, with only two days on the clock, you might want to make the decision as soon as possible to avoid paying double. But we'll leave that one in your hands.

Good news for Game Pass holders though…

If you are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, then you'll be pleased to know that the full game is available to download and play for free. There's no catch there at all, amazingly enough. If you're a Game Pass user and happen to cross Tell Me Why on your browsing session — then be sure to give this one a whirl without any strings attached. After all, there's no telling when it'll be dropped from the service.

“In this intimate mystery, reunited twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan use their supernatural bond to unravel the memories of their loving but troubled childhood,” the Steam description reads. “Set in beautiful small-town Alaska, Tell Me Why features true-to-life characters, mature themes and gripping choices.”

“As you conjure up memories of the past, your choices will affect the twins’ relationship, determine the strength of their bond, and shape the course of their lives.”

Tell Me Why went on to win the Games for Impact Award at The Game Awards 2020. You can download your copy of chapter one today, tomorrow, and forevermore. So, no rush on that one.
