It started with the classic, family/comedy, “Space Jam (1996)” that basketball fans love, starring Michael Jordan. Seeing Michael Jordan on the screen, enlisted to help the animated Looney Toons win a match against aliens (who desired enslaving them for attractions for their theme park) was an unusual, but enjoyable sight to see. Ever since that movie, maybe you could not get R Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly” song out of your head” and if you did, the media and nearly everyone else reminded you. Did you forget about the “Space Jam” video game for “PlayStation,” where it is simply about Michael Jordan teaming up with the Looney Tunes in basketball? Oh, the 90s are one of the best eras of all time.
Now, on July 16, 2021, the sequel, “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” directed by Malcolm D Lee, stars Lebron James, and there is an upcoming “Space Jam: A New Legacy” video game. When the game is released exclusively for “Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers” on July 1, subscribers will be the first ones to play it. Right before the movie’s premiere in theaters and on “HBO Max,” on July 15, the game can be played free of charge for everyone else on the “Xbox Store.”
About The Space Jam: A New Legacy Game:
Lebron James is going to be in the new “Space Jam” video game, but while many people would think it would be a basketball adaptation, guess again. It is a retro-style beat ‘em up game that is supposedly similar to “Final Fight” and “Streets of Rage.” That leads many of us wondering what type of lethal attacks Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, and Lebron James (the newest member of the ‘Tune Squad’) will be pulling off. You mean to tell us that Lebron James is beating up adorable, animated creatures now?
“Tune Squad” will be competing up against the virtual, “Goon Squad,” while searching for four pieces of the “Legacy Code,” allowing access to the villains secret hideout. The Brow and the White Mamba are sent by AI G’s to stop “Tune Squad.” There will be unique “Space Jam” cards and a basketball involved in this beat ‘em up game.
Space Jam: A New Legacy Wireless Game Controllers:
Inspired by the “Space Jam” sequel, “Xbox” is offering three wireless controllers.
- Tune Squad: One of Bugs Bunny’s favorite colors, carrot orange, is on this controller. It represents the “Tune Squad” where you can geek out, feeling like you are a part of the team
- Goon Squad: Get this controller if you want prefer the cyber villains, but be prepared to face the “Tune Goons”
- Serveverse: The Warner 3000 entertainment “Serveverse” may be for you, if you cannot decide which basketball team to root for.
