Sony Prevents McDonald’s From Releasing Customized PS5 Controllers

Published

According to IGN, the McDonald’s Playstation 5 DualSense controller was just an internal concept, which never left the planning phase. There is a bright side to this fast-food and game controller story that some people believed. If you have coulrophobia  (the irrational fear of clowns), you no longer have to worry about collecting McDonald’s controller, where Ronald McDonald could have been placed on the revised copy. McDonald’s is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, but just without what we expected.

McDonald’s Australia (which has no official partnership with Sony PlayStation) confirmed that “the image was provided to media in error and there is no commercial relationship between McDonald's Australia and Sony PlayStation.” Would you like some delicious fries with that comment, because I sure would. For those passionate DualSense collectors, maybe one day, MacDonald’s Australia will collaborate with Playstation, because it was imagined by McDonalds. The fans were awaiting more details on the DualSense controller, but it may be an uneventful time for them.

McDonald's Giving Away Custom PS5 Controller?

The Story:

Last week, McDonald’s Australia announced that it would give away a limited number of special edition Playstation 5 controllers. Each of the controllers were advertised to be customized with illustrations of burgers and fries (with the white, yellow, and red color scheme). This all took place and eventually, information quickly surfaced across the internet, where many people spread their thoughts on if they preferred the new controller. Well, your preference does not yet matter, since Sony reportedly stopped the controllers from being officially released.

This may make some gamers feel the opposite of McDonald’s catchy slogan on most of its product packaging: I’m lovin’ it. McDonald’s slogan from 1966 to 1969, can make more sense to gamers expecting an official release date of the PS5 DualSense controller: The closest thing to home. Why does it make sense? You just do not always get everything you want at home. On the flip side, try naming anyone to ever take a bite from Mickey-D’s edible food, only to think it tastes like home-cooked meals. Just name anyone, besides Ronald McDonald.
