FaZe Clan welcomes Snoop Dogg to the roster

FaZe Clan has just welcomed their newest member, and it’s none other than the celebrated rapper Snoop Dogg. Faze Clan announced the exciting news and shared that Snoop Dogg will soon be a part of their board of directors.

As a member of Faze Clan’s roster, the rapper will “co-create content, participate in key business initiatives, and launch merchandise with the brand.” Snoop Dogg even got his new name “Faze Snoop” after joining the roster.

Snoop Dogg’s love for video games is not new. Time and again, the rapper has been involved with games at some point or the other. He has his own esports league and even streams on Twitch. Before this, Snoop Dogg has appeared on True Crime: Streets of LA and a bunch of other titles.

FaZe Clan’s Chief Strategy Officer, Kai Henry commented, “The organic relationship between Faze and Snoop has been building for years now, so we are thrilled to officially welcome Faze Snoop to the family.”

Henry further said, “As the original internet kid and first generation gamer, Snoop has always understood the cultural connection between music, lifestyle and gaming. Today, Snoop is a prominent voice in the emerging Web3 community and we have exciting plans to create together in the metaverse, driving new engagement opportunities for both of our fanbases.”

This is not the first time that FaZe Clan has signed on pop culture icons. Earlier, celebrities like Lil Yatchy, Offset, Lebron James Jr., and more have joined the roster as content creators. But perhaps, Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest names to join FaZe Clan.

After being valued at $1 billion with the SPAC deal, FaZe Clan has plans to go public later this year. Snoop Dogg will take a seat among the Board of Directors shortly after. The full list of the Board of Directors will be announced later this month after the merger.
