Ubisoft will Reportedly Reveal Skull & Bones Next Month Again

After months of speculations and rumours, Ubisoft's pirate-themed video game, Skull & Bones, has a release date. Ubisoft confirmed the release date during its Ubisoft Forward Spotlight showcase.

Ubisoft showed off some gameplay for Skull and Bones during the showcase. Skull & Bones is based on the 17th century, the Indian Ocean fighting factions of brutal pirates and strong empires. That ladder begins at the bottom of the open-world pirate multiplayer game, where players are tasked with building their way to the top.

The naval battle is clearly the primary focus of Skull & Bones gameplay, as seen in the reveal trailer. The game begins with the player as a survivor of a wrecked ship. The player builds a dhow and uses a spear to fend against crocodiles and hippos. Players will also use Infamy, a progression system, to rule the Indian Ocean. The Infamy will then quickly expand to include Pirate Hunters, faction ships, forts, and more. Exploration and treasure hunts will be available, but the battle will take precedence.

Skull and Bones Release Date

Skull and Bones will launch on November 8. There have been several leaks about the game, including reports of a release date since Ubisoft first announced the game in 2018. In light of so many varied reports, leaks, and delays, it has been difficult for gamers to get a clear picture of the gameplay or even if it will ever be released at all. Ubisoft's announcement has now confirmed earlier reports on the release date for the title.

The game's servers will support both PvP and co-op modes of multiplayer. Skull and Bones appear to include a robust single-player campaign. Players can entirely complete the game solo.

Skull & Bones will formally debut on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Google Stadia, and PC. In addition, Ubisoft said that Skull & Bones has a multi-year post-launch strategy in place, guaranteeing gamers new free content regularly.
