Do you have the feeling that there are far too many fictional superheroes to focus on? There just are not too many superheroes of different races and struggles, but wait.

At least there is a superhero in the third-person, multi-platform video game “Dustborn,” about love, hope, robots, and friendships. This year, “Dustborn” will be available on “PS5 (PlayStation 5),” “Xbox Series X/ S,” and “Microsoft Windows.”

Gameplay:

The year is 2030 and you play as Pax (a con-artist, hired to transport a mysterious package (across the American Republic) from Pacifica to Nova Scotia. There are obstacles you have to overcome to spice things up. You are four months pregnant and the Puritans are in your way, as well as the authoritarian Justice.

“Dustborn” will be the first game published by “Red Thread Games’” upcoming “Quantic Dreams.” The game has a graphic novel art style with 2D illustrations to 3D life (with a Neo-Western narrative).

With your influential words, you can recruit your own band of misfits and outcasts to help fight off the attackers, but you just have to survive long enough to recruit. Your crew has a variety of powers, stories, and personalities.

The words you use in “Dustborn” can hurt. Use disinformation (in arguments) to manipulate strangers, fight enemies, and motivate friends. That phrase about “sticks and stones” unfortunately, does not work in this game.

Road Trips:

On your journey across America, you will see historical locations in a dozen states, explore unusual places, and go on missions.

Here are just more features in “Dustborn”:

  • Record and remix Echoes into a new weapon as you use words to intimidate, manipulate, and control people you interact with.
  • Manage your dialogue choices, which determines human reactions.
  • You can travel undercover as a folk-punk rock band, learning to play different tunes around the campfire. Then you can prove yourself in a “Battle of the Bands.”
  • Since it is the year 2030, there has to be robots involved in the game.
