4.6/5

WSOP.ca delivers a large range of different types of poker games. It also offers a good range of casino titles, so if you ever tire from poker you can hit some Blackjack or slots.

Poker Games:

At WSOP.ca you can play Texas Hold’em and Omaha Pot Limit Poker. There is no shortage of action as game sessions are held practically 24/7 so you never have to wait too long to start playing. There are games for players of all budgets, so whether you want to play for cents or for hundreds of Canadian dollars per round, you can always find what you are looking for.

In Omaha Pot Limit, the low-stakes games have buy-ins from C$0.20 and go up to C$5. In each round, the small and big blinds can start from as low as C$0.01/C$0.02 and go as high as C$0.10/C$0.20. Middle stakes Omaha Pot Limit Games have blinds that range from C$0.25/C$0.50 to C$1/C$2. The buy-ins for middle-stakes games can be anywhere between C$5 and C$40. If you want to play for big money, you can try the high-stakes Omaha Pot Limit games, where buy-ins can range from C$50 up to C$200 and the blinds range from C$2/C$5 up to C$10/C$20.

Texas Hold’em No Limit games have similar low/middle/high stakes, and they may include featured tables with stakes of C$10/C$20 up to C$25/C$50 with buy-ins of C$400 up to C$1,000.

Poker Tournaments:

Tournaments are a big thing at WSOP.ca. They are held often and, just to keep things interesting, there are several different types of tournaments. You can play Freezeout, N-Stack, Progressive Bounty, Rebuy, Satellites, Turbo and Shootout tournaments. These tournaments may differ in how many chips each player receives, whether there is an option to add more chips during a tournament, how the pot is handled, and many other features. Tournaments are not restricted to the mid and high rollers either, as you can participate in competitions that have buy-ins of just C$1. Newcomers or players that have smaller budgets have the chance to play these thrilling tournaments, and there are a number of daily competitions as well to keep you on your toes.

Exclusive Poker Games:

The developers behind the poker site are players themselves, and they have lots of experience with creating new and innovative content. At WSOP.ca there are a number of exclusive games which will blow your mind. AoF, AoF Sit & Go and Spin & Gold are poker games which do not feature the conventional tables and rules. In AoF (All-In or Fold), you cannot raise or call. After you receive your hand, you can decide to either go all-in or fold and at the end of the game, there is a massive jackpot prize for the lucky winner. AoF Sit & Go features up to 16 players divided into groups of 4 and given 3 stacks. Think of these as three lives, and you must try to hold onto yours to survive. It follows the same logic as AoF, only there are two rounds. The winners of the 4 tables in the first round progress to the second round, where they have to face each other for the biggest prize. Spin & Gold also offers a massive jackpot prize, and it has additional features such as multipliers and insurance. To play, you simply have to pick a game that works for your budget, select the number of games you want to play simultaneously, and then select play now. It will combine your skill in poker with how good you are at playing numerous tables at once – all with time limits to keep you thinking fast. If you win the game, you can receive a payout of up to x50,000.

Casino Games:

The main reason why you would join WSOP.ca is to play online poker, but the site also includes a number of casino games. If you would play casino games on the side, then you may be pleasantly surprised by just how many games WSOP.ca has to offer. There is a good selection of slots, table games, live games and more. The table games collection has different options for Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat. It even has some games with progressive jackpots. The live casino game collection is packed with games from Pragmatic Play Live, including plenty of variants of traditional casino games as well as a number of gameshow-styled titles. The slots collection includes some of the hottest games out now such as Gates of Olympus, Big Bass Bonanza, Wolf Gold, Reactoonz, and Buffalo Blitz. Be sure to browse quickly through the jackpot slots, where you can find games with sizable progressive jackpots.

Licensing and Regulation

5.0/5

WSOP.ca is part of GGPoker, which holds licences with the UK Gambling Commission and in 2022 it acquired a licence with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. This opened up the site to the Ontario market. The AGCO is responsible for all the gaming operators within the jurisdiction of Ontario. When you see the Ontario iGaming licence sticker at the bottom of any gaming site, you can rest assured that the operation is fully legitimate and is a safe place to play.

The games at WSOP.ca are all tested by BMM Testlabs to ensure that they offer fair games and that they use RNGs. In addition to this, WSOP.ca works with Gamcare and CAMH to help create a safer environment for gaming. The site offers a number of responsible gambling tools that you can use to control your spending and avoid gambling addiction.

Payment Options

4.0/5

All the games at WSOP.ca can be played using Canadian dollars. There are numerous ways to make deposits and withdrawals, and WSOP.ca is adding new payment service methods all the time.

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Vanilla prepaid cards are not accepted)
  • LuxonPay
  • MuchBetter
  • Trust Payments
  • Interac

In the near future, WSOP.ca is planning to add PayPal and Skrill payments to its list of payment methods. When you make a deposit, you will not be charged, but whenever making a withdrawal you will need to pay a fixed fee of C$1. The minimum amount you can withdraw is C$10 and the maximum is C$50,000. When you make a withdrawal request, the withdrawal will undergo an internal review that may take up to 72 hours, and then it should be sent to you. When making e-wallet transactions, the money should arrive in your e-wallet within a day after the withdrawal has been approved. For bank transfers, this can take an additional 1-5 business days, so in total, you may have to wait for up to 8 business days (in the worst-case scenario).

Customer Support

4.1/5

The poker site is extremely efficient in delivering information and handling customer queries. On the main site, there are guides to how to play Texas Hold’em and Omaha Poker, and even information about the tournament types and different types of exclusive games. Then, there is also a massive FAQ site that you can open if you click on the Help button in the header. Here, you can find articles relating to registration, different payment methods, guides, and a lot more.

If you need help that requires a customer support agent, then you can open the live chat and ask your question. This function is available 24/7 and the agents have quick response times, so urgent issues or questions are welcome. Alternatively, you can send the team an email through their general support address, but you may have to wait for a day to get a reply.

Mobile Availability

4.6/5

To start playing at WSOP.ca, you will need to download the application. This app is available for Windows, MAC, Android and iOS devices, so you can play on virtually any platform. It works on older model smartphones and tablets too, but to ensure that you get the best experience you are recommended to have newer models. The app is extremely easy to manage and everything is well organised so that you can find all the games or tournaments you need. There is practically no difference between playing on a mobile phone or a computer, as the application has been optimised for use on smaller and larger screens.

The one drawback is that you cannot play the games or sign in on the website. It provides you with all the information you may possibly need, from tournament schedules to guides on how to play the exclusive games, but you can only play these games using the downloaded app. However, you can rest assured that the app is completely safe to use and that WSOP.ca has impeccable data security, so your personal information is always kept in safe hands.

Summary

4.5/5

There are loads of advantages to playing at WSOP.ca. It has a massive selection of poker games and you can always find a game to join. The site also offers a large range of casino games, so if you want to take a break from poker then you can find ample substitutes to keep busy with.

There are a few things that you may need to keep in mind when playing here though. There is no Short Deck poker offered, and to play you will have to download the app. Also, the withdrawals are charged C$1 – which will not really affect you if you are playing for a lot of money but if you have a smaller budget it can be a bit annoying.

However, these shortcomings do not take away much from the amazing experience. Poker players looking for nonstop action and awesome alternatives should definitely give WSOP.ca a visit.
