Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Reached Its End
Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2 has received its final credits roll, signalling the end of the beloved Western tale and its many, many years of online content.
It was only last week that Rockstar Games dropped a heartfelt thanks to those who helped pour heart and soul into creating Grand Theft Auto V. With a complete credits roll and a sign-off message inscribed on its blog, fans quickly believed that the end for the best-selling title was in the cards, and that, moving forward, all of Rockstar's focus would be shifted over to the development of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Today, there's a similar story floating around. Turns out, Red Dead Redemption 2 has also received that familiar credits roll, and if going by what others are saying is true, then again, it could mean the end of a second major title.
Down, But Not Out
Of course, it would make sense for Rockstar Games to part ways with its two former successes, what with Grand Theft Auto VI being the hands-on project that it is. And as this is one of the biggest and most anticipated games in existence, a full workforce would definitely be a requirement in this case.
Anyway, while Red Dead Online won't be getting any new major updates anytime soon, it will, at least for the time being, receive a few patches to help iron out any unwanted kinks. How long this will be for is another question, and one we'll have to wait for Rockstar to formally answer in due course. Until then, you should probably make the most of what remains. Come 2023, Red Dead Online could very well be, well — dead.
