ProTubeVR has announced its new haptic module, ForceTube Scout, which is designed to be used with its MagTube Rifle frame. This gives gamers more immersive VR shooting experiences using haptic feedback to recreate realistic recoil and other gun effects.

The ForceTube Scout Haptic Module is compatible with both the Oculus Quest and PC VR platforms. The module simulates the vibrations of the firearm and the impact on the player's shoulder. The effect changes depending on the weapon the player is using. It is said to give a realistic weight, dimensions, and sturdiness to make the player feel like they are holding a real weapon. The accessory is set to have native support for titles such as Sniper Elite VR, Pavlov, Contractors, Onwards, Hot Dog, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, War Dust, Stand Out VR Battle Royale, and many others.

The ForceTube Scout Haptic Module is currently available for pre-order as a standalone unit for its regular price of €249.00. This isn't including the rifle frame which is required to attach the module to and the controller. The full kit is also available as a pre-order bundle which includes the rifle stock itself, the haptic module, and two grips to mount the controllers onto the stock. The bundle can be configured to include the appropriate grips for almost any of the VR headsets. There are options for most PC VR headsets, PSVR Move controllers, and all the generations of the Oculus Touch controllers. For the bundle that includes the stock, haptic module, and Quest 2 controller grips, the total pre-order prices come to around €311, dependant on the options selected.

The expected shipping date for the preorders is to be around 2 months from the day the order is placed with shipments sent out on a first-come, first-served basis on the order date.
