Pokémon Legends: Arceus Has Sold 6.5 Million Copies In Its First Week
Announced earlier today on Nintendo's social feed, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which was only released last Friday, has gone on to sell 6.5 million copies.
Considering Animal Crossing: New Horizons just about broke the 10 million units in Japan not so long ago, it is looking increasingly likely that Arceus will claim the throne before too long. And if that has somehow managed to surprise you, then you might want to take another look at the latest phenomenon and see where the latest craze stems from.
“Thank you to the more than 6.5 million explorers worldwide who have already embarked on an exciting new adventure in #PokemonLegendsArceus! We hope you're loading up on more potato mochi before your next research mission!”
What is Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
“As the protagonist of the Pokémon Legends: Arceus game, you’ll join the Galaxy Team as a member of the Survey Corps. Your goal will be to meet every species of Pokémon from every corner of the Hisui region as you work to complete the land’s first-ever Pokédex.”
“During your adventure, you will explore and survey the Hisui region and become more involved with the leaders of the Diamond and Pearl Clans—eventually finding yourself drawn into the mysteries surrounding Arceus, whose secrets may be uncovered atop Mount Coronet.”
