It's about that time again, where rumors begin to spread like wildfire over what's in store for PlayStation Plus. But as it goes, one member of Resetera seems to already know the details surrounding the July upload. Of course, it's fair to say that any information that sprouts up from the web can be taken with a major grain of salt. However, it's looking as though the next update could very well be credible, and that PlayStation users will be in for one heck of a month. If it all goes according to plan, that is.

A Plague Tale: Innocence, believe it or not — is the next big title to land on PlayStation Plus. How can we be sure? Well, we can't, to be honest. But, going by the Resetera user's previous posts regarding E3, it is incredibly likely, given the fact that everything announced turned out to be true. And, seeing as the sequel to the franchise has now been brought to light — it would only make sense for Sony to counter the Xbox & Bethesda E3 showcase with a free copy of the pilot game. It'd be a smart move, that's all we're saying.

Now there's something to cross your fingers for. Don't let us down, Sony!

Resetera user Deluxera announced the news…

Asobo will also reveal a next-gen remaster of the first Plague Tale game,” the user predicted prior to the official announcement on June 13th. “If you are on Playstation 5, don’t purchase it right now as it will be included on the July PS Plus.”

Take from it what you will, but if the leak proves to be true — then PlayStation users can expect a pretty spectacular month. And as for the rest of the freebies PlayStation Plus has in store, well — that's another story altogether. In any case, one best-selling game is enough to sway the tide to favourable reviews, whereas anything else is mere icing on the cake. Either way, July should be an interesting month for gamers. Fingers crossed we'll see Asobo's wondrous creation hit the shelves real soon.

A Plague Tale: Innocence received countless awards for Best Narrative, Art Direction and other noteworthy categories. You can watch the trailer for the game below. Or, if you're more interested in the sequel — you can visit Asobo Studio and gloss over the details here
