Plague Inc: The Cure Free Until COVID-19 Is “Under Control”

True to their word, developer Ndemic Creations will be giving players the Plague Inc: Evolved DLC away for free as of today. The Cure is a whole new experience that focuses on turning the tides of a global pandemic and locating a vaccine. However, to uncover the source of the remedy, countries must fight to cooperate with one another and tackle obstacles as they come. So, basically the opposite of the base game, in which your only goal is to essentially wipe the slate clean.

“Created with the help of world health experts from all over the world including the WHO, CEPI and GOARN, Plague Inc: The Cure is an engaging and timely simulation of a global disease response,” the Steam description reads.

Plague Inc: The Cure launched a few months back as part of the Evolved edition. Only now, in light of the January blues and alluring lockdown situation, the DLC will be completely free to all owners of Evolved. But, as Ndemic Creations have said, it will only be free until “COVID-19 is under control.” So, you know, that could be a week — or it could be a month. Only time will tell on that one, I'm afraid.
