Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror Event Dates and Details Revealed

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a trailer for the Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror event. The trailer gives players a sneak peek of what to expect. The Halloween Terror is the first Overwatch 2 seasonal event. It will feature a new co-op mission known as Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride. 

Blizzard has released a trailer showing off more of the upcoming content for this year. Several of the characters are featured in the video in past Overwatch Halloween skins, such as Anna's Mummy outfit and Sigma's Flying Dutchman outfit. The event, which runs from October 25 to November 8, will also feature the return of popular Junkenstein modes from previous years.

The trailer showcases two new skins that will be available during Halloween Terror 2022. The skins include the Witch Kiriko and the Executioner Junker Queen. Rather than her Healing Ofuda, Kiriko wears a traditional witch's hat and carries what looks to be pagan spell-casting cards. In contrast, the Junker Queen wears all-black spikes and an executioner's hood. Even while Mercy already has a witch skin in Overwatch 2, hers is darker and edgier than Kiriko's. Therefore, the two are easily distinguishable.

Players who participate in the challenge will receive some rewards. The rewards include the Nightfall Over Adlersbrunn Name Card and the Jack-o'-Lantern Weapon Charm. Additionally, fans who tune in to Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch will be able to snag Halloween-themed Twitch drops. 

Players will receive a Werewolf Winston Spray After two hours of watching and the werewolf Winston Legendary Skin after four hours. Every Overwatch 2 player who logs in between the start of the Halloween Terror event and the end of Season One will also be rewarded. The players will receive a Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary Skin and a Health Pack weapon charm for free in Overwatch 2, in addition to Werewolf Winston.

Overwatch 2 is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
