OpenBet Names Nikos Konstakis CEO in Leadership Transition
OpenBet announced on September 22, 2026 that Nikos Konstakis has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective at the end of the year. Jordan Levin will move from CEO to Chairman, with the company saying he will remain active in setting OpenBet’s long-term strategy.
As CEO, Konstakis will lead the company’s vision, strategy and daily operations, concentrating on growth, product and technology priorities, according to the announcement. OpenBet, which describes itself as a leading global provider of betting and gaming technology, said the appointment formalizes the leadership role Konstakis already plays across the business, where he has been closely involved in how the company operates, sells and sets its strategy.
Levin said Konstakis has held multiple, progressively senior executive positions since joining OpenBet more than eight years ago and knows its business, customers and technology thoroughly. “Nikos has already been instrumental in driving the evolution of OpenBet and I have tremendous confidence in his leadership as CEO,” Levin said, adding that with the company on a strong footing and significant opportunities ahead, he looks forward to supporting Konstakis and the wider team in its next phase of growth.
Konstakis most recently held the title of President. OpenBet identified him by that title in its July 22, 2026 report on World Cup platform performance and in its September 15, 2026 announcement of the OmniLogic acquisition agreement.
In his own statement, Konstakis thanked Levin for his leadership and for the foundation he leaves at the company, and said it was a privilege to step into the role. He cited the company’s customer base, its team and the opportunities ahead. “My focus will be on building on those strengths, bringing even greater pace and focus to the business and making sure we continue to set the standard in the markets we serve,” he said, adding that he looks forward to working with Levin in his new role and with OpenBet’s teams around the world.
World Cup 2026 Platform Performance
OpenBet said the leadership change comes at a time of strong momentum, pointing to its performance during World Cup 2026. In a July 22, 2026 announcement, the company reported more than 175 million bets processed and close to $3 billion wagered across its global platform customers during the tournament, which it called its biggest-ever betting event.
OpenBet said it processed 23 million Player Prop bets during the tournament, an increase of 130% on Qatar 2022, and that markets such as “either player to score” and “player to be fouled” were offered for the first time. The final between Spain and Argentina drew 831,000 BetBuilder bets, 39% more than the final four years earlier, according to the company. Player Goals or Player Stats selections appeared in ten of the 20 most repeated bet combinations, compared with four at the 2022 tournament. In-play betting rose to around one bet in six through the knockout rounds, with live bets carrying significantly higher average stakes than pre-match, OpenBet reported.
OpenBet Locator processed more than 200 million location checks across regulated US states during the tournament, and the company reported zero platform outages from the opening match to the final. OpenBet said England’s run to the semi-finals produced high volumes among its UK-facing customers, with the Norway quarterfinal attracting almost 5 million pre-match bets and the match against Argentina close behind at 4.65 million. Konstakis, speaking as President in the July announcement, said no betting event had ever been larger for the platform.
OmniLogic Acquisition
The appointment also follows OpenBet’s September 15, 2026 agreement to acquire OmniLogic, a sportsbook technology provider. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close later in 2026.
According to OpenBet, OmniLogic’s specialist team, based principally in Győr, Hungary, has supplied sportsbook technology services to major regulated lottery operators and World Lottery Association members for more than a decade. Its platform powers omnichannel betting across retail, online and mobile for lottery and betting operators in EMEA, with capabilities covering trading, risk management and back-office functions. The OmniLogic team will join OpenBet on completion.
Konstakis, commenting as President on that deal, said lotteries sit at the center of OpenBet’s growth strategy and that the acquisition extends its approach of partnering with leading operators in heavily regulated markets.
2025 Management Buyout
OpenBet’s ownership changed hands on March 24, 2025, when the company announced the completion of its sale by Endeavor Group Holdings to OB Global Holdings LLC in a management buyout backed by Ariel Emanuel. OpenBet executives, including Levin, participated in the buyout, and Levin continued to lead the business as CEO.
At the time of the buyout, OpenBet said its platform powered more than 200 operators worldwide and that it served more than 20 World Lottery Association members as a provider to government-owned and government-sponsored operators in sports betting. The company also said it had launched in Brazil with BandBet as part of its expansion in that regulated market.
The buyout announcement also covered a separate transaction agreed on March 19, 2025, under which Endeavor would sell IMG ARENA, the sports betting data business operating under OpenBet, to Sportradar. OpenBet said OB Global would own and continue to manage IMG ARENA until the close of the Sportradar transaction, which was subject to regulatory approval and expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Konstakis’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer takes effect at the end of the year, with Levin moving into the Chairman role.
